Does anyone know the movie schedule for October yet?

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort Movie Schedule

Movie at 8:00PM By the Dig Site Feature Pool

Sunday - Monsters, Inc.
Monday - The Sword and the Stone
Tuesday - Frankenweenie
Wednesday - Hercules
Thursday - Hocus Pocus
Friday - The 3 Cabelleros
Saturday - The Little Mermaid (see our princess page)

You will love the Rancho's section. Ask for 7A or 7B- You will be near the Bus Stop and able to grab any bus except Downtown Disney and ride right around to El Centro. Also about the Hot tub at the Dig Site. While we were there, the lifeguards were very vigalant about children in the Hot Tub. They were asking their parents to remove them if present and if there were no parents present they were asking the children to leave the Hot Tub and go to the far side of the pool. PS. the quiet pool in the Ranchos section had the least amount of children. Enjoy your trip! Remember if your room site doesn't suit you, ask to change

60 days till we arrive at CSR - so excited!!! :cool1::cool1:
Couple of questions - I noticed we can do online check-in this morning so I figured I would go ahead and do that. Things went fine till I got to the Room Request section - instead of a text box we could fill in with our requests/preferences, there were check-boxes and it said to pick up to two of the boxes. Unfortunately neither of our requests was listed - we wanted Casitas 4 or 5 (only Ranchos or Cabanas had boxes) & we would love to get a corner room (not a must by any means, but hey it doesn't hurt to ask, right?) and there wasn't any box for that. They had things like - second floor, fourth floor, near transportation, etc. Should I forgo the online check-in and just ask for what we want when we get there? Or contact my travel agent and see if she can put in the request? I know that Casitas 1, 2, and 3 are Preferred Location & we only paid for a King Room, not King-Preferred, but I thought 4 and 5 had non-Preferred rooms?

If I can't have Casitas, what would you recommend for an older couple on an anniversary trip - Ranchos or Cabanas? Not that we don't like children, but we were hoping for a location that was a little quieter than what I've heard Cabanas are. And Ranchos seems like quite a hike to the Pepper Market and Rix Lounge. Not sure we want to do that much walking after being in the parks all day. We also love a hot tub - but are a little leery about the big one at the Dig Site (I assume there will be lots of splashing children in it) - are there smaller hot tubs near any of the quiet pools? What would you all recommend?

Lastly - what's the current story with Magic Bands and Fast Pass+? I heard on another forum that at this point, pretty much all resorts are offering these but I don't see anyplace online where I can order our Magic Bands & when I try to do Fast Pass+ it doesn't allow me to choose our dates. Will I be able to do this once I check-in? If I don't do online check-in, does that mean we won't be able to do Magic Bands and/or Fast Pass+ until we arrive?

Sorry - I know this is a lot of questions but this is a special trip for us and I'd really like to get everything squared away as best I can. Thanks for all of your expertise!! pixiedust:

My husband and I have asked for the Cabanas section. He has an ACL injury and we're trying to keep the walking to a minimum. (We rent wheelchairs in the parks). Does this section really make a big difference?

In ANY of the sections there is a bit of walking. Depending on where you're headed will measure just how far.

Maybe the golf carts that are always putting around will be able to help you out?

So children are not allowed in the hot tub at CSR? We've never encountered that at a Disney resort before??? :confused3

I was wondering the same. My kids like hot tubs and don't act like a bunch of brats. I am paying for them to stay there if they want to use the hot tub they will.

Are their age limits posted for the hot tub? I will not be happy if they try to tell me my kid has to leave (especially if the November weather is too cool for the pool!).

I just found an article on touring plans from May 2013 that says there is no age limit on hot tub use at disney resorts, just kids under 12 need adult supervision. Makes me wonder why the lifeguards were making kids get out.

You can take us off the thread :-(
Had to change resorts fir our stay :-(

Since the original poster doesn't seem to have responded can I take some guesses? ;) Ok I will.

Maybe the kids were goofing around and for safety......
Maybe the kids were in there longer than the time limit most hot tubs have.....
I have not seen this hot tub, but maybe the kids were small for the design of the hot tub size since it is a big one. 22 people I think I read?

Also I have seen in some places that after a certain hour (and I'm meaning Disney places) that kids are not allowed in the hot tub area.
I thought I saw a posting at 10pm for a hotel I was just in.

Most definitely if the parents were no where to be found, the kids should not be in the hot tub.

We just got home a few hours ago from a wonderful stay at coronado. We spent 3 or 4 hours every afternoon at the Dig site. The hot tub always had a few kids in it. I never saw the lifeguards ask them to leave. The only time I ever saw the lifeguard giving instructions to children was when they came down the water slide to close together ( the green light on the slide to tell them when to go down was no working).

If you really want to be "off the thread", go to the top of the first post on any page, hover over Thread Tools then click Unsubscribe From This Thread. You might have to click on Thread Tools, hovering doesn't always work.

5 DAYS TILL WE CHECK IN!!!

For anyone there or just got back..how are the new mugs working at the pool bar/pepper market? Are they being scanned at both locations to get drinks? We will get them with our DDP but with staying Business Class we probably won't use them that much except at the pool and maybe a meal at Pepper Market. Thanks!!!
