They made you pay Annual Dues on banked 2025 points to 2026? ...if so, I would recommend maybe backing out of the deal and telling Seller to absorb that.

I don't think this is entirely unreasonable, personally. I could imagine negotiating it, but it is not the same as a contract with the '25 points used.

It seems they intentionally listed aggressively to get bids. Don't know if that works, because it was a loaded contract that could have easily been priced on the high side.

So a few of days ago--it's closed now--there was what amounted to an action for 100 CCV points, posted around 10am with a note that said submit your best and final offer--and the best offer by 5pm gets it. it was listed on both www.fidelityrealestate.com and www.dvcshop.com.

I want to hear more about this! Of course, that sounds a bit crazy - what type of CCV contract is just so desirable such that, no matter the asking price, you're going to have buyers lined up for it on day 1? Or, what if you get just 1 offer way below asking? Are they saying they'll accept that? All sorts of questions about this.

Yea.. no gaurantee of getting a good price. Everyone can throw a lowball offer, and unless it was a sold out fixed week, I can’t imagine there was any reason to get into a bidding war for it.
I’m thinking $145 is about max for any CCV, & I would much rather pay less.

I just find it ironic they post it as “Low but firm”, doesn’t seem like they know what that means

Got word on Friday that Disney placed my newly purchased Aulani resale points (160) into my DVC account. 3 weeks 2 days after closing. Seamless and like clockwork to the estimated timeline given on this site by others. Thanks all.

Almost talked myself into 25 direct points a couple weeks ago once Disney lowered the minimum add on, as I have 80 AUG CCV (resale) currently. Was excited to see this instead for 4 times the points at ~2.x the price. Not crazy about having to bid for it, but subtracting out the value of the banked points it mentally put me in the mid 120s pp which is where I wanted to be. They supposedly had bids at 139, 141, 141.5(?) but who knows.

Yeah that was the contract. It’s a pretty good price and they could’ve sold it at that price without bidding.

Thanks for clarifying. A little less sleezy than the broker going back between offers trying to drive the price up. Congrats on the purchase, I was looking into it myself. And honestly over the 130 original list, and extra $1,200 (not counting closing costs or reimbursement of fees) for the perfect contract is very justifiable, especially with the banked points.
