so we can no longer take our food at PM out by the lake? That is always one of our favorite things while there :(

I did for lunch Saturday 12/03/11 (well took it out by the Cabanas quiet pool), but was refused Sun 12/04/11. The CM at the Pepper Market desk told me they no longer do to go orders for breakfast or lunch and I did not even seen any of those ticket things stamped 'To Go' laying on the desk like they usually are. I told her all I wanted was a fruit plate and she told me I had to go to Cafe Rix to get anything to go.

I leave on Friday and I am soooooo unprepared! I have nothing packed, no packing list, an incomplete itinerary, and I am now stressing because I have to work everyday except tomorrow this week. And I am up at 1 a.m. right now because I am trying to finish a major paper for one of my doctorate classes. ARGH! Help???

We'll be there Sunday night! :woohoo: Don't stress...you have plenty of time. Get DH to help and the kiddos too if they are old enough. Just don't over pack unless your driving. I too haven't packed yet, but I have all day Saturday and won't sleep much Sat night. I'll have window decals and a DISboard MickeyHead or two. I had the TA put in for the Ranchos. :thumbsup2

Now it is down to a couple of days:cool1: Almost done packing for the kids. So excited. Almost blurt it out when we were talking about his lessons, but caught myself :lmao: When we get there I will try to post pics. I am not sure if we are going to eat at pepper market, but if we do, I will post some pics of that too.

Ok, now to get back to making a dream come true for my son :) Hope everyone that has a trip coming up has a safe and happy one :goodvibes

Thanks for the help. We are driving the van down because the double stroller takes up too much of the trunk.

Has anyone used Garden Grocer? My little boy has dairy allergies and I really like the idea of not having to go to the store to get his soy milk and other allery friendly foods. If I order it to be delivered to the resort, do they keep it refrigerated for us until we get there?

Thanks :)

We leave friday also!!! We are so excited and cant believe its this week!. I just hope the interstate is traffic free to make our path a lot smoother! :cool1:

Is there anything that a CSR newbie should know that has two little boys, 2 and 4? I've read about the Pepper Market and have to say that I'm very annoyed how their breakfast and lunch is. Am I understanding that it is one price and is all you care to eat if you dine in? I am NOT a breakfast person and can't see myself eating much of anything other than maybe a muffin and a piece of bacon. I guess I'm just confused as to how it works.

Our son also has a dairy allergy. I have to fly with a few cartons of soy milk to get us thru the first few days. I decided not to do the Garden Grocer. I have a list from Disney's Special Diets that gives places where to get soy milk and dairy free items in the parks and am hoping CSR has some soymilk like the AKL did 4 yrs ago. Your lucky can bring an ice chest since your driving. Send me a pm with your email and I can send you the list from Special Diets...if you'd like. Its a PDF file.

Me, too! We aren't leaving until DH gets off work. I'll pack the car when I get off work so that we are ready to leave as soon as he gets home. (I can pack way more in the car than he can and it is much less painless for everyone if I do it while he is not there-LOL!) We plan on driving to at least the Florida stateline before stopping for the night and then getting up early to drive the rest of the way and enjoy at least half a day in the parks on Saturday! I am so excited :)

We use Garden Grocer every time we go, and they're great. I would order early, as they can only make but so many deliveries in a day and sometimes get booked up, especially in peak periods. If they deliver before you arrive, Bell Services puts your cold items in their refrigerator, and then delivers everything to your room. We always get a case or two of water, milk, cereal, snacks, soft drinks, etc. delivered and it's always been perfectly fine. Can't recommend them enough!

Just finished reading the thread and excited about our upcoming stay June 2-9. We stayed at POR last year and had hoped for POFQ this year, but pricing lead us to CSR. Thanks for all the great info!

We don't eat full breakfasts every day either. I plan to visit the grab and go and get a few things ala carte. Last time, we used snack credits to get blueberry muffins, bananas, juice, milk, etc. I think I even got cereal with a snack credit. We were at WL last time, but from what I understand, CSR has a similar grab & go.

Before we even left Boston, Garden Grocer called my cell phone as well as leaving us a text message that our groceries had been delivered to CSR earlier that afternoon. Our flight was delayed, and we arrived to the resort in the middle of the night. Upon check-in we inquired about the groceries, (including cold items) which were then loaded into the back of our shuttle - it looks like a golf cart/tram. We then rode this same shuttle w/our luggage to the room. It was quick and convenient especially at that late hour. Had I known this ahead of time, we would have ordered a case of water. I was afraid we would be lugging the bags of groceries ourselves to the room, so I kept the order small.

We ordered breakfast items, bowls, juice boxes, fruit, snacks to save time in the morning and just hop on the bus to the parks.

You can get grab and go things for snack credits, don't worry. We always do that at the end to use up any extra snacks on the last day! We also tend to get a box or two of cereal from GardenGrocer.com and I always have ziploc baggies in my suitcase - a few baggies of cheerios or whatever make for good grazing with my boys who rarely want a full breakfast.

@LBYC-19 - Even when we take our own luggage to our room, we just call when we get there and Bell Services brings our GG order. So next time, definitely order that water! ;)

Hi Everyone! I am new to the boards and so excited to learn about CSR from the experts! :yay: We will be staying there for the first time on our trip next year!!

Sorry if this has been answered, I made it up to page 8 of the thread and then saw there were a ton of pages to go, so I jsut figured I would ask instead of reading more!

Can someone confirm if there is Wifi at CSR? We arrive Christmas day and this will determine what electronics I will be bringing.

Thanks a bunch!

Yes, CSR has wifi. :surfweb:

I'm a Disney Veteran, but this will be our first visit to CSR. We are looking forward to it! It looks and sounds amazing! I'm gratful to be a cast memeber and get great discounts on rooms, so it really allows us to stay at hotels that we always wanted too. It's going to be a GREAT birthday celebration for myself and my parents. We all share the same bday (March 14) and we will be having dinner at Canada, our first time eating there :o). Hope everyone has a great trip!!!

Wi-fi is free as of the last we've heard. :thumbsup2

I can confirm, free wifi in the rooms. Just checked in ranchos and was surprised.

There is an info sheet that mentions it.

Now, cellular signal is really poor. One phone could not get thru, e other on barely held a call. Will switch to VoIP next time I have to place a call.

rhonda_2003 - Check your email I sent the allergies list. Safe travels everyone!! :goodvibes
