We arrive on Christmas Day... cannot wait! :) I have a couple of questions... I haven't bought tickets to the parks yet, and I was told that if I buy the tickets through a 3rd party, that we will have paper tickets; however, if I buy from the resort, then they can be added to my room key. I was told to go to the concierge after check-in. Does anyone know if this is a big deal? We arrive at 3:30pm.

Thank you for your help! Cannot wait!

It's very easy to do. They'll sell you the tickets and put them right on your room card. You can even charge them to the room. Concierge is right across from check-in in the lobby; you can buy Hoop-De-Doo tickets and things like that at Concierge also.

I'm about to call Disney to put in a building request for CSR - this will be our first trip there. I see most everyone loves Cabana 8a, 8b and 9b .... I need one that is close to a good bus stop as I have arthritis in my knees and ankles and know I will be very sore at the end of the day so a shorter walk to my bed would be wonderful :cutie: 8a is close to bus stop 4 and 9b to bus stop 1 ..... is one better? Any help would be appreciated!!!

Yes, if you buy them at the front desk, they'll be on your KTTW cards. But you can also have tickets bought elsewhere added to the cards. I always save a few bucks by buying my tickets at Undercover Tourist, getting "paper" (really, a tough plastic called Tyvek) tickets. These are the same ones sold at the ticket booths. These tickets can also be put on your room key.

Bus stop 4 is picked up before bus stop 1 when going to the parks, so there is a better chance of getting a seat on the way to the parks. The parking lot side of 8A is very close to the bus stop.

I'd request close to a bus stop for medical reasons and indicate a preference for cabanas if you have a preference. There are other buildings close to the other stops.

Hey everyone! We are back from our trip 11/27 to 12/3. We had our second great stay at CSR. Cabanas 9A, first floor. The room was clean every day and we had very little wait at the bus stops. Pepper Market and Maya Grill were also good. We saw the cheerleaders but they were quiet and respectful when we ran into them. The weather was a little cooler than we expected but not bad overall, especially considering we had SNOW! the day after we arrived home. Yikes! I'm not sure I'm ready for it yet. We enjoyed the beachy feel of Cabanas and the hammocks outside our room, but our favorite is Casitas. We stayed in building 4 on our first trip and the beauty, romance and convenience can't be beat in my opinion. I think KatMark will agree with me.
For those of you who have upcoming trips, do not miss The Osborne Lights at Hollywood Studios. They were beautiful beyond belief! I honestly think I could have stayed there and just looked at them for days. The snow during the show makes it even more special. What a great start to our Christmas season.:santa::santa::santa:
As bad as I hate to see it go can someone tell me how to remove my ticker?
Thanks.

Its not really a buffet, it is all you care to eat for one price. You still have to walk up to the different stations like before. The CM gets you your juice and coffee, and you go to the grills to place your orders. One grill for eggs and omlettes, one grill for waffles and pancakes, one station for bakery just like before.
You no longer go to the cash register, the CM brings you the bill and you pay the CM. The food is the same as before..at least 4 food stations plus the bakery. It was fine for us. You if you like big breakfasts you will be OK.

If you go to bell services when you check in and ask for assistance, they will take you to your room with your luggage. We always tip them very nicely when we do this, since it involves more than just them jumping in an elevator like at other hotels.

We didn't have bell services take us out to our room, since we tagged our luggage for ME and it was delivered to the room while we we
are in the parks.

However, if it is your first time at Coronado, it is nice to have them run you to your room, especially if you've had a long travel day and are dragging bags with you. It can be confusing trying to find the right building if you haven't been there before.

Yes I totally agree this extra deserves extra. :thumbsup2 I don't know if DME deliveries our luggage or not, I will have to research this. It will be our first time at CSR and have read its pretty hard to find rooms on the first go around.

DME will deliver your bags to your room on the day you arrive, IF you are arriving prior to around 10pm. All you have to do is put the yellow tags you receive on your luggage BEFORE you check it at whatever airport you fly from. It doesn't matter which airline you are on to receive this service.

When you make your reservation for DME, or you can call and add it later if necessary. At MCO, the baggage people pull the bags with yellow tags and they are taken directly to the resort. Bags generally arrive within about 3 hours of landing.

Some people don't want to wait for their checked luggage to arrive, and in that case do NOT put the yellow tags on. Collect the luggage at MCO yourself, and then go to the DME desk. Also, you must do that if your flight arrives too late for your luggage to be pulled .

Finding rooms can be a bit of a drag if you haven't been there before. I've never done it, but even if you use ME I bet the bell services people would take you to your room if you ask for it, even if you only have your carryons. I don't see why not...

So excited! I just booked my first stay at CSR for June 3! I am travelling with one of my old sorority sisters who has never been to Disney. Just wanted to share :cool2:

How exciting. It is so much fun to take someone new to Disney...no matter the age.

I see you are in Des Moines, IA; my youngest son lives in Dubuque but will be in Des Moines for high school wrestling finals (he is a coach).

I'm so glad I found this thread! We just booked our next trip last week! We'll be staying at CSR for the first time from March 3-9! We went in September for the first time and stayed at Pop Century so this will be very different. I'm excited to take advantage of the more relaxed feel of the resort! :cloud9:

so we can no longer take our food at PM out by the lake? That is always one of our favorite things while there :(

I leave on Friday and I am soooooo unprepared! I have nothing packed, no packing list, an incomplete itinerary, and I am now stressing because I have to work everyday except tomorrow this week. And I am up at 1 a.m. right now because I am trying to finish a major paper for one of my doctorate classes. ARGH! Help???

Okay....deep breaths. It's going to be okay and you are going to have a great trip.

I suggest you find one fairly clutter free area and set up your bags. Then think about what your daily routine is and start putting those items into your suitcase. This is not about actually packing at this point, but just gathering and organizing what you will need.

Check the weather channel or weather.com to see what the temps will be for your dates.....as much as possible....and think layers.

Don't forget any medications or special items that you might need to take and put those in your suitcase at this time if possible. If not possible, grab a folder and start a list of those things and keep the folder with the list with your bags to check before you leave to make sure that you have them.

Itinerary....decide which parks you will be doing which days. Go to the Disney website and print the calendar for that day. Make notes on those printouts and line thru or highlight as necessary. Make sure that you print out any dining reservations you made or anything else pertaining to your trip and include those in your folder. I set my folder up in chronological order so all I had to do each day was pull that day's paperwork to take with me.

Most of all just relax and have a good time and remember that it is not the end of the world if you miss a ride or attraction. Enjoy what you are able to. Make it fun and not a marathon.
