A few weeks ago when we visited there were two ducks. A mom and her baby. There were other baby ducks according to the guards but mom abandoned them when a few tourists touched them.

Where do I find out info on the DIS meets? Is there a thread? We will be there from Sept 10th-19th. I would Love to meet some of you! It's myeslf, DH, and DD (4). I requested Casitas 4, but we will see where we end up Last year we stayed in Cabanas and loved it but I thought we might branch out and try another section

We are having a meet at 2:00 p.m. at Siesta's by the Dig Site pool on Saturday and Sunday, September 18 and 19. Also, I am meeting Charlefours and deslynnpatterson on Saturday, the 18th, at 7:15 a.m. for a cup of coffee right outside of the Pepper Market at the tables by the lake. Please feel free to join us for any of them.

I don't think I've ever said a bad thing about anyone or anything at CSR, but those guards should be....never mind (you get the picture).

There is no Cabanas 9E; it is either Cabanas 9A or 9B. Either one would be good choices for you. Beginning January of 2011, you can book a preferred room if you choose as well.

Hi Jennifer...... welcome to the DIS family!!
You will LOVE CSR!! it's my favorite along with many of the posters on this thread. and definitely a "wealth of info"!!

even tho you have a car.... I'd suggest the bus to MK. parking/tram/ferry/etc eats up alot of time at MK. driving to the other parks is fine, but not MK.

We stayed in 6B one year.... great location! close enough to the pool but not as "busy" an area as 8A. 7B would be great too. both 6B and 7B are in Ranchos. and close to the bus stop if you need it, and there's laundry at the quiet pool right between 6B & 7B.

and when you need to go to El Centro, cut through the Dig Site area and follow Lago Dorado to it... not a long walk at all.

The laundry is near the quiet pool and the hot tub is at the digsite pool. Sorry can't do both at the same time.

Thanks Kathy! I might do that!! We are leaving on the 19th pretty early in the a.m. so I think the 7:15a.m. or 2:00 on the 18th might work out better!

How many days before we arrive should I fax my request in, is it better to do this on a weekday? Will need to do at least 24hrs before hand as that is how long it will take us to get there. Any advice would be great. Thanks guys. 12 more sleeps....can't wait.

ONLY if one of the children is under the age of 3, unfortunately. The other choice is POR or the All Star Suites.

As I mentioned last week we really enjoyed our stay and are thinking about going back for a few days next year before going on a cruise. We are possibly traveling with a group of families and one family has 3 children. Can 5 people stay at csr? Or can por only have 5 guests? I would love to stay here again but we all want to stay at the same resort.

We'll be checking in a week from today! In fact, it should be around this timeframe when we arrive.
