Sure it has come up before...but anyone know what kind of Soda/Juice is on the fountains for the refillable mugs?

Oh, I was counting on there being lemonade for my DD4! Does anyone know?

From Memory back in July.

Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Pibb, Barq's, Hi-C (may have been Pink Lemonade?), Nestea (some Berry flavor?)

Hi, we have a reservation to stay at CSR at the end of April , with a waterview room.

I have looked at the maps & would prefer to stay at Cabanas or Casitas, would this be the most likely areas for us to be given automatically as Ranchos seems to be more of a desert type area.

If not is there an email address for requests as I don't have access to an fax machine with international dialling access.

:banana:I have been reading for some time and just joined. We will be staying at Coronado from March 7 - 14 and are so excited. This is our first time for WDW and my first time ever to the States. We are from Canada.
I was showing my 11 year old pictures and asked where she would like to stay in the resort. We all prefer Casitas, but just found out there will be three conventions while we are there...<sigh>

If we request Casistas can anyone recommmend which building? I think I read that part is heavily convention, but we don't want to be bombarded with them. Maybe an equal distance to El Centro and Dig Site/Main Pool.

Hi Erika66 - We will be there also from 3/6-3/13 :thumbsup2, i just requested cabanas 9A, but if we end up in casitas i'm confident that will be fine for us. See you there!

Weird, DH and I are going to be there from 3/6-3/13 and we're from WI too!

We have been having some trouble picking a resort...actually just posted a thread yesterday. Dh and I really like the look of CSR, but decided against it because of some things I've read. Very large, slow buses that can be really packed, food court not that great...

We reserved a spot at POFQ, but just aren't really into that theme. I'm having trouble getting excited for the trip. We have little ones, so I liked the idea of staying there because it's small and has only one bus stop. We need a food court, as we don't plan on many ts meals.

What would you suggest for requests if we decide to change our ressie? We want to be able to get a seat on the bus once in a while (we have a double umbrella stroller, two kids and a baby) and want to be somewhat close to the restaurants. Being a little farther from the main pool isn't a big deal...there are smaller pools throughout the resort, right?

TIA!

We have only stood on a bus at CSR once in three stays, and that was leaving MK after Wishes. Buses are usually uncrowded - I've never heard anyone but you say the buses were packed, actually. We like the variety at the CSR food court, but it is more expensive than the other mod food courts (no big deal if you are on the dining plan, but even if you are not, there are some reasonable options as well as expensive ones). You can check out the Pepper Market menu here:

http://allears.net/menu/menu_pm.htm

and Cafe Rix here:

http://allears.net/menu/menu_crix.htm

My kids and I split a pizza and bought a few pieces of fruit for dinner on our last stay - the three of us ate for about $15 total (probably $20 since we all got drinks).

POR is said to have the best moderate food court.

The Casitas are the first stop picked up by the park buses, and they are also close to the main building. There is a quiet pool in the Casitas as well. You can see the map and the pictures on the first page of this thread.

Cabanas 9A and 9B are also close to the main building, but they are the third bus stop of four. We stayed in Cabans 9A in May and usually got on the bus at El Centro (the last stop) and still had seats every time.

I feel like the walk is always exaggerated at CSR. We have stayed at the Beach Club and walked 15 minutes from our room at the very end of the hall to the bus stop. You will only be minutes from a bus stop at CSR and no more than about 10 minutes from El Centro if you are farthest out in the Ranchos.

Happy planning!

I hope I can answer some of your questions and concerns.

1) CSR is big.... The answer is yes but we stayed at POP this past October and did more walking there than when we stayed at CSR in March. We stayed in Cabanas 8B and it was the perfect location. 5 minute walk to both El Centro and the Dig Site and 1 minute walk to both the laundry and a quiet pool.

2) Slow busses... We had great experiences with the busses here. Cabanas is the 2nd to last stop picked up and it is the 3rd stop dropping off. There are only 4 stops here which isn't too bad. CBR has a million stops. The cababas bus stop was about a 1 minute walk from our room. Unlike POP where you stand in line waiting, and waiting, and.. well you get the picture, CSR busses were great. Keep in mind bus service is variable at any resort at any given time throughout the day.

3) Food Court..... People have a love-hate relationship with the Pepper Market. It is different from all other Disney food courts in the ordering process. But the food is made right in front of you so you know it is fresh. It also is a little pricey, which doesn't matter if you are on the DDP. There also is the pool bar for snack type food. The nacho's are great!

If I were staying at CSR again I would ask for the same section... Cabanas 8B, 8A, 9A (in that order) ground floor, so you can wheel right to the room without stairs or using the elevator. You would be 2-3 minutes from the quiet pool and 5 minutes from both the Dig Site & El Centro. I have a full write up in my TR http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2115466 Post #29 is when we arrived at CSR.

My daughter was 2 at the time and I couldn't of asked for a better resort and a better location. If you have any more questions ask away!!!! :goodvibes

....well, now that my DS and his GF will be leaving CSR this afternoon, the weather is going to warm up a bit by the end of the week....:confused3 oh well...

And we are leaving in 2 hours! Had to check in one more time! Packed for winter and summer....crazy! I'll check back in when we get home in 10 days! wa-hoo! :dance3:

Just booked our first stay at CSR for May 22-27th, we are suprising the boys and picking them up on the last day of school and driving to florida. We have stayed at the Poly (loved it!), POR (loved it) and now CSR. Main issue for us was getting the 2 queen beds, my husband and I are too tall to sleep in doubles. Looking forward to it! Haven't made a room request yet but I've scanning this thread for the best options. :)

Howdy Neighbor!!! I'm sure you'll love Coranado.

We had our first onsite stay at the CSR, and had a great time. I picked the Cabanas 8B for it's somewhat central location ot the Dig Site and El Centro.
