joining in! this is one out of the 4 hotels at Disney I've never stayed in and I'm planning a mother/daughter trip for my mom's 55th birthday in October 2011. i'm going to need everyone's advice and tips and tricks on how to pull this off!!!:cool1:

Thanks for the king room info. Not a casitas fan, so I would definitely request a different location if given building 2. The rate I got was too good to pass up for Easter week (AP rate) but only King rooms were available.

Thanks for all these pictures. Wow! I think I am going to be switching our August trip from a value to a mod, so I was debating which one would be best for us and the kids, and that playground just looks AWESOME! So does the pool, I think they'll love it. Plus queen sized beds :thumbsup2 Sweet! Thanks so much!!!!!!

Now, andy specific sections I should request when I call to change my reservation??

I just completed online check-in and where it asks for your requests, it offers to select a refrigerator but says you will need to pay a fee at check-in. I thought all rooms came equipped with a fridge regardless.

All the rooms at CSR (and the other mods and deluxes and family suites) have fridges. It is a glitch in the online checkin process.

We only have 10 more days until we are sitting in a hammock by the lake at CSR!!! :cool1: I don't think we could be more excited. The days are just dragging by!!! Only our second trip to Disney and first staying onsite. SOOOO EXCITED!!!:banana::banana: Almost completely packed so now I don't know what to do with myself to pass the time until we leave! Knowing that vacation is just around the corner is not doing much to motivate me at work!! Guess I'll be reading A LOT of disboards threads over the next 10 days - I can't enough!!! :dance3:

Kmgindele - I bet you even sent this from work!! ;)

I hear you and feel your excitement. I'm got going until May and I already feel that way!! (And yes, I am sending this from work! :rolleyes1)

What great information, thanks for posting the pictures of the renovated rooms!

A few questions,
Can you move the desk? I liked the table and two chairs when the kids have cereal in the morning. Not sure how this will work with the desk and two ottomans as seats.

Is there any space next to the bed and the bathroom wall to store the suitcases?

Can you move the bed closer to the wall, if there is any space?

If the desk is to the right of the dresser w/TV , what is to the left?

Is there space to store suitcases under the bed?

Thanks for all your responses. I love the Dis...

Thanks to info on the Dis I just got a terrific AP rate for Easter week and am really looking forward to returning to CSR.

The Hidden Mickey for Haiti is at Coronado Springs resort! For further details, take a look at this thread:

Won't you consider a donation of a buck or more, directly to the charity of your choice, to see it for yourself, and to teach your children an important lesson about giving to help others?

-Slippy

I dont know if you tried this or not, but you might want to call T-Rex directly at 407-828-8739. Disney Dining only has limited spots available but if you call them directly you may have better luck. I know I did much better calling directly.

I'm quoting this again, but thank you so, so, so much. I just called (it's been a crazy week) and they were able to get us in at 6pm on our first night there.
Yay! My son is going to be so excited. He asked to see dinosaurs (accomplished thanks to this board) and Pluto (accomplished thanks to LTT having Pluto in the character breakfast).

And I can't wait to get away and explore CSR :)

You're welcome! So many people on the DIS have helped me, I'm glad to "pay it forward". So glad it worked out for you! We can't wait to eat there in April. Enjoy your stay at CSR and let us know how everything went.

Hi all

Excellent thread - thank you. It's really made me look forward even more to our stay at CSR in two weeks' time :wizard:

Can anyone help with a really quick (and boring) question? Is there a charge to use the gym?

I'm not sure I will make it in there at all ;) but thought I could come prepared if it's free. I'm not sure I can muster up the enthusiasm if I have to pay.

Many thanks

Karen

No charge as long as you are a guest of the CSR! So enjoy the workout...although I'm sure you'll get a good enough one walking around the parks. ;)

Wow - thanks for the fastest response in the world!

I know it's unlikely, but I am trying to keep up my gym routine - whether it happens is another matter!! Got to find a way of working off the yummy meals I'll be munching on :D

forgive me for not reading the entire thread.
does anyone know where the "junior suites" are located? And any photos of them?

I don't have pictures of the updated junior suites (we were in one right before the rehab). I think there might be one or two in the Cabanas, but the rest are in the Casitas.

I have pictures of the updated Junior Suites. Room 3125 located in Casitas 3, first floor. We stayed there in Oct 2009. The couch was a VERY comfy pull out, way better than the sico beds from past Jr Suites. To my knowledge, the majority of the Jr Suites are in the Casitas with at least one located in the Cabanas. I don't know of any in the Ranchos.
