Coronado Springs Pepper Market Question

When I am on vacation I like being treated special and waited on. It's nice that someone will come and take your dirty dishes and refill your beverages for us. Who want's to wait on line? We stayed at POR in November and the lines at breakfast were sometimes ridiculous. Then you have to go to different lines if someone in your family wants something different. Much rather tip and have it like PM

I agree.....Like I stated b-4, POR is really nice but Man did that food court feel like Pop century or ASMo. When I went to POR & CSR, they were both during Jersey week, so It's not that crowd levels were any different. It just felt so much better relaxing at CSR, with the non rush to eat , and get your table..

Thanks! I think you and I are on the same page! :rotfl2:

Sounds that way...Are you the one who plans & plans & plans..& then when all done plans some more...? Like adding extrs days to an already long vaca..LoL

:lmao: You got me! But I enjoy the planning so much!:cool1:

We have stayed at the CSR quite a bit and have loved the Pepper Market. Is is worth the tip...which can be avoided if you order to-go and eat outside or in the room.

I am still very disappointed to hear about the new buffet for lunch and breakfast. But if it is a CS credit it must be the best value for a CS credit on the entire property as the food is very good and much better than counter service fare we have had in the past. I would say give it a try.

What I used to like about the Pepper Market was the options for kids...if they did not want kids meals the adult meals were large enough to share or I could order sides for my kiddos. This kept cost way down and made up for the added tip. What I dislaike about the buffet is that that option is now gone except for dinner.

I like the baked goods at the Cafe Rix but I will miss getting a breakfast to go at Pepper Market. I used to get one adult breakfast and a few sides and then bring it back to the room and it would feed 2-4 people. I like having eggs or waffles and some bacon in the morning. But we are not big eaters and the buffet would just not be a good value for us.

I do not get the meal plans because we could never eat sides, desserts and entrees for every meal...the portions at Disney are just huge. But if I did have the meal plan, I would not hesitate to use teh credits at the PM.

On another note...for the OP. One of the perks at PM for kids is crayons and Disney coloring sheets. That on top of beverage service and friendly CMs plus real china and silverware make the gratuity worth it.

Our family loves the CSR :cool1:. I hope yours will too if you give it a chance.

I really appreciate the debate on this thread. We have not made our reservations yet for either POFQ or CSR. I'm still wavering between the two. Reading your comments is definitely helping with the discussion we're having with regards to our decision.

We are big fans of PM. As others have said, the small amount you may tip is so little when you look at the cost of your vacation. We always do the dinning plan so it is indeed an amazing use of the CS credit for a buffet. Instead of the few nuggets and a handful of fries and maybe a cookie my child would get most places for lunch, he got some yummy roasted chicken, steamed veggies (yes he loves them), a huge bowl of fruit, tasted a lot of different dishes and finished off with a bowl of ice cream with all the sprinkles he wanted on it! Free refills on milk and juices, a huge selection of dessert, and except for one meal, some really nice CMs to help us out won us over. Reality is we would choose CRS for PM though we love it for other reasons too:goodvibes.

Oh, another good point. One thing I loved (but supper meal is probably run the same as usual?). When I went to get the pizza, I asked the lady which one is on the dining plan, the small ind. one or the large and she said "either one", so I got the large and then had extra in my fridge in my room for a breakfast or something. (we like to just grab something small and quick for breakfast). Also a highlight for my son (on the adult plan) was the dessert lady's section, where she would give him 3 churros and a scoop of ice cream -- very personalized, she would ask people how of what she had and what they wanted.

I thought I read somewhere that the large pizza is no longer included.

I don't know about now, but it was then, and it was an awesome value. The way they do it there, is they give you whatever at each station and then just stamp that little card as to what you have (like pizza entree, whatever), so all of the figuring is done for the checkout people, they just add up the stamps. I found the PM very accomodating at each station.

Yes, i found it. The 14in pizza requires 2 QSR entitlements.

Where do you find that info. That could be a helpful link. Anyway, when we went in Aug. 2010 I was able to get it for just 1 QSC. Things change, I would like to see your info link because my son would like to see if he can still get his churro/ice cream dessert.

Pepper Market is a great Disney quick service dining location, and is great if you have food allergies. Pepper Market offers a good service, a good quality.

So let me get this straight peeps. This mind slip is a result of the stamped card in the youtube video.

Is it an all you can eat buffet or is it a regular resort quick-serve affair with the addition of nice plates and a pleasant CM to bring you refills?

It is an all you can eat buffet for breakfast and lunch, and it is a quick service credit. At dinner, it is a la carte. If you are on the dining plan, you would get one entree, one drink and one dessert for one quick service credit. If you are paying out of pocket, you would pay for whatever you choose at dinner.

Dinner has a 10% service charge (seems to not be charged on the dining plan). You can avoid the 10% charge at dinner by taking your meal to go (there are tables outside by the lake, or you can take it back to your room). No service, hence no service charge. :thumbsup2

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the PM much more than the dinner service and felt it was much better value (and we arnt usually into buffets). The food at dinner was ok but we ended up all getting our food at different times as all three of us chose from different stations. Just something to bear in mind if you are eating there with a larger family or small children. (ie you go up to get kids food while spouse waits at table with kids then one of you waits with kids while other gets food then remaining person gets food......)
