Coronado Springs Opinions

DH and I have stayed just about everywhere on property from All Stars to the Grand Floridian. We've also been spoiled by DVC for the last 2 years. We are going down this weekend for a quick getaway (Friday-Tuesday) to see the World at Christmas.

We opted for Coronado this trip as we have never stayed there before. I've seen plenty of pictures and read reports here and some other sites.

What are your opinions of this resort. Anything we shouldn't miss? Anything you found especially magical about it?

Just curious. Any and all input would be appreciated.

DH and I stayed there for our honeymoon and loved it. It's a very peaceful resort which is great for 2 adults. The main pool is excellent, but we also loved the quiet pools (and they were quiet!)

If you get food at the Pepper Market and you eat there, they automatically charge a 10% gratuity. We always got ours to go and ate outside by the lake (there's tables right there).

We rented a water mouse, but found the lake to be a bit small for zipping around. Definitely better over at the GF or the Contemp.

All the CM's were incredibly nice and helpful (especially some of the ladies in the gift shop who we saw numerous times)

We've stayed there twice & enjoyed it. It's a large resort, so requesting a room near El Centro may be a good idea. It's very peaceful and beautiful at night. It's great for strolling.

Cabanas 9b is very close to El Centro, a bus stop and a short walk across the bridge to the pool. A very nice resort for a moderate.

I've stayed at CSR lots of times. Personally I would opt for the Cabanas 9B or Casitas 1 or 2

The Casitas were amazing! We had a room close to El Centro and it had a view across the Lake to the pool. There were little courtyards with gardens and fountains. Very pretty and magical.

We stayed at CSR for a week during the holiday season, and absolutely loved it! The decorations were gorgeous and Mickey & Minnie visited the main lobby one evening for photos. We prefer the cabanas and always request 9B due to its location and the lovely lake views. My DD especially loves relaxing in the hammocks on the beach. Have a great time!

dd and i spent 10 days at csr in april...we loved it.
we thought it was a beautiful resort...and i am looking forward to going back in may2003. i did not love the pepper market but did not hate it either(we didn't really care for the asmovies food court during a previous trip either)the restaurant there has a very good and inexpensive breakfast buffet and we had great service. the pool and spa are great. bus service was great too. i think you will enjoy your stay

Love the Casitas. I had the benefit of staying in Casita 1 and it was a short walk to the Pepper Market and Bus Stop #1. I love it there and can't wait to go back To me CSR is the deluxe of the moderates!
