Cornell U in Ithaca NY - opinions please

My DS is thinking about Cornell U in Ithaca NY for the Hospitality BA degree.
He has B average in HS and will take the SAT's in June 2009.

Anyone go there ? Apply there ? Like it ? Hate it ?

You might want to try the College Board instead of the Teen Board. They're more likely to be able to help you out with this one.

I know its a very good college and your sister would like it there.

Cornell University is wonderful. I love it there.
My moms name before she got married was Cornell and
someone in her family founded it. We go there every summer to
visit for a couple days, just to see my cousins and play on the campus
while no one is there since its the summer.

I am just being honest and not trying to offend you but
I highly doubt a B average will get someone into Ivy Leage- Cornell
maybe it will depending on how high her SAT scores are. She might
get in and have to do summer session.
But I wish her all the best, it is so pretty up there. I am sure she will
love it.

Yea, i agree with the OP. A B average is not going to cut it to get into a great school like Cornell. And also make sure she has plenty of extra curriculars(sp?)
