I was looking at the Disney Site and it said that Coral Reef Restaurant is a signature dinning experience. Does that mean it takes 2 off the dinning plan or did I miss read something.
Thanks

May I ask where you saw that? I´ve never heard of Coral Reef being a signature or 2 credit restaurant.

i just checked and it does indeed have Coral Reef (as well as Chefs de France...?) listed under Signature Dining. However when you click on the restaurant it just says it's "Special and Unique" dining, not Signature.

There was a thread about the possibility of Coral Reef becoming a signature, 2 credit meal...but I remember someone saying it wasn't true.

I don't know why they would have Coral Reef and Chefs de France listed under Signature.

:cool1: :hippie: We were there this June and also this Sept. and is 1TS. Really like the N Y Strip Steak and for dessert the Baileys and Jack Daniel's Mousse. This has become a not to miss restaurant for us.

When the dining plan first came out in 2005, Coral Reef was 2 table service credits. But that was only for a few months and then it was lowerd to 1 table service credit. We have an ADR there in December and it is 1 table service credit.

I did read somewhere that beginning Jan 1, 2009, Coral Reef was going to be a 2TS. I will try to find it and post it.

Well if it becomes 2 credits, then I will not give it another try.

:cool1: :hippie: We also would not go there again if it became a 2TS restaurant, there are too many other real good 1Ts restaurants to go to.

Thanks so much for all the response. I call Disney and they said it was currently just 1. So that means chocolate moose for me in 3 weeks!:tinker:

I am going in January and have reservations for Coral Reef so I hope it does not switch to 2TS's.

There was a thread a few weeks ago about Coral Reef being 2TS credits. There is a link to old information on the Disney website, and that is where that information came from.

2009 Brochures already show Coral Reef as a 1TS location, and it is already on the list of 2009 restaurants.

I think that everyone is pretty safe and that Coral Reef will remain 1TS credit for 2009 at the very least.

Interesting!! I wonder if it will stay 1 credit for all of 2009. I will say, it was my favorite restaurant of all that we ate at last month. The food was wonderful. I would go back even if it was 2 credits.

What entree do y'all like to eat there? We have ressies there in about 40 days. DH is a seafood lover. Me and the kids are not. We've never been to this restaurant. Thanks!

No clue since I've never been there, lol! But dh likes certain seafoods, especially fish... so I see him getting either the Mahi-mahi or the pork chop... dd's love fish so I see them getting either the mahi-mahi or mac n cheese... and I don't like seafood at all, so I'll probably be getting the strip steak.

I agree - it was our favorite restaurant in August - we are thinking of repeating the experience for our anniversary meal in May. It is incredible value for 1 TS.
