Coral Reef opinions

Hello Everyone,

Ok, so tomorrow I get to make my ADR's I need a backup plan to not getting Le Cellair. I have the Garden Grill for one of the nights. My boyfriend mentioned he would like to go to the Coral Reef (He's never been to WDW....I know, I know....how someone can live to 45 and never have been to WDW)

I have never been to the Coral Reef. I'm not a seafood person (yuck) but am willing to go for him. I saw chicken on the menu, so I'll be fine.

Opinions, opinions....anyone. I need to know if it's worth it or to try something else.

I would not recommend it for dinner. Lunch is ok.
If you want to stay in Epcot try Chefs de France. If you want seafood Flying Fish is a better choice and only a short walk from the world showcase entrance.

I haven't eaten at the Coral Reef yet, but I hear it's a great experience!

Chefs de france is amazing! I ate at Canada and it was really good! It's a small restaurant.

All the restaurants at EPCOT are great!!! Germany for the Ocktoberfest is amazing as well!!! Depends on your food preference!

Hello,

Ok, my boyfriend is a plain, very plain eater. Meat, potatoes, seafood. I'll eat anything but seafood.

I love Le Cellair and I'm hoping to get in there but I need a good back up. We are going to do Gaden Grill, Rose and Crown. I'm not sure about France. I was thinking Morocco because that looks like meat/chicken/rice -- pretty basic.

We absolute loved Coral Reef! Here's from my TR:

Off to dinner at Coral Reef we go. We are early and have to wait, but it's totally worth it. I must say, if you ever get to request a waiter, Tony is awesome! This guy is worth his weight in gold. He keeps on top of my high maintenance family and then some. He laughs with us, kids around with us and gives us tips on things in the park and in the tank. He brings DD’s friend refills of Coke by 2's. The kids kept asking for the pineapple out of my alcohol drink and he would play games with them to get it. Now keep in mind these are 17 & 19 year olds and he has them totally entertained. When we ordered dessert he brought them each a bonus plate of pineapple. What a guy. I stopped by the desk on the way out and asked them to tell the manager that we will come back because of Tony.

Oh yes, the food. DSonIL had the mahi mahi and it was delish. DD19 & I had the pork tenderloin and it was very yummy. DH had the steak. DD’s friend had the salmon, DD17 had the chicken. All of the food here was excellent. Another place I'd highly recommend and go to again. Tony is a bonus

Been here pleanty of times. We love it. Always had good meals. Good service. Awesome aquarium. Nice atmosphere.

We love it there. If you like steak, they have a great NY strip. Best flavored steak ever. I love it.

I agree! My daughter cannot eat seafood so she orders this every time.

OP, Coral Reef is a must do on every trip. It is a wonderful experience. The aquarium wall is so beautiful. You really do feel as though you are "under the sea".

Well I am a vegetarian and eat the meatless option. You can definitely find something on the menu that you WILL like. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service VERY MUCH. The food was just okay. It is a fun time though so I think it is worth a trip to find out if YOU like it yourself. You'll never know if you don't try it!

Ohana was getting horrible reviews when I first had reservations there, I almost cancelled but I kept my ADR and it has since become my favorite restaurant! Give Coral Reef a try!
