I'm afraid I offered too much on a Copper Creek resale contract.
Its small, only 75 points, so I know historically I'd need to pay a little more then someone buying a larger contract.
What are smaller contracts actually selling for at Copper Creek?
What range would you be willing to pay?

This is form the ROFR board for CCV
Lorana---$159-$8485-50-CCV@WL-Sep-0/19, 36/20, 50/21-seller pays MF '20- sent 7/15

Lorana---$145-$10885-70-CCV@WL-Sep-0/19, 54/20, 70/21-seller pays MF '20- sent 7/21

PaulW08---$148-$9992-60-CCV@WL-Dec-60/19, 120/20, 60/21- sent 7/24

So $150ish per point on average is about what they went for. By the same token on a small contract don't let the $per point really bug you that much. If you paid $10 more a point over these numbers it's $750 actual dollars. Not an insignificant amount of money of course, but not enough to really beat yourself over.

What did you offer? Is it the use year you want and is it a loaded contract etc?

I offered $157 a point! It does have the full points for 2020 2021 and 2022.

Also it's my first contract (happens to be aJune use year), but I'm not worried about use year.

If the contract suits your needs, and you are comfortable with the price that is all that matters.

I paid $150/pt for my BLT recently and it was loaded. About $10 - $15 more than I wanted, but in the end, with all those extra points, it was worth it.

$157 is fine especially with the banked points. I’d be happy with it.
So there aren't any banked points. But the 2020 points ARE still available. Still a good deal? Should I try and offer lower after it's already been excepted or is that totally stupid? I feel like that's definitely not a good idea, but idk.

Think about it this way - Copper Creek direct is around $220 pp right now or something. You saved over $5,000!! (I’m ballparking - not a math person. Lol) Even if you are a few bucks within other resale buyers, you came out way ahead. Good luck with everything!

I would not offer lower. However, it is taking about 3 months or so for the entire process right now,

Not sure UY but if those 2020 points will be near banking and you won’t use them, you could ask them to be banked for you as part of the deal,

I did that and am glad I did because the deadline was July 31st and I don’t have the points yet.

UY is June so I have until Jan 31th, so I think I'm good on that! But thank you for the reminder! Important info!

Sure, maybe you could have gotten 2-300$ less. Not a huge deal in the bigger picture, but maybe you care about that?

You can cancel if you're within the time periods for any timeshare.

Ask the sellers to bank the June points. With the June points for 2020 it makes it a better deal. It seems CCV is holding its resale value better than RR and probably due to the resale restrictions on RR. CCV is a great resort and the smaller contracts always command a higher price

Can't I just bank them when I get the contract? There's like 6 months until the banking window closes

I’ve had an eye on CCV contracts for the past few months, making offers here and there. A different broker than the one you offered through had posted a loaded 75 point June UY CCV a few weeks ago at $160pp. It appeared the seller had dumped a bunch of June UY contracts at the same time, and after a few days they dropped the price to of the CCV contract to $130! That's definitely the cheapest I've seen a small CCV contract go for lately. You can still see the listing on dvcbyresale.com.

If this June UY that you offered on is the perfect contract for you, then go for it! On the other hand, if you're more interested in getting a great deal and aren't in a hurry, then I'd back out. Granted there's no guarantee that another unicorn like that one will come along... Either way, good luck and CCV is a great choice IMO!:-)
