Has anyone tried these shirts at Disney. I have seen online, loose-fitting t-shirts made of the coolmax material. Since we are going in June and my body has no problems producing sweat, I thought I should try these shirts out. Anyone have any experience with these? Are they worth it? I also saw that they have coolmax underwear!!! That sounds like it would really help under your shorts!!

Hey, I wear the coolmax shirts all the time, and they came in handy at Disney. You can get them at walmart, target or an outdoor store like REI. The other thing I would do is get the shorts with the mesh lining, sort of like swimming shorts but they look like regular shorts. I personally like the ones from Columbia. Oh, I also get the moisture wicking socks as well (at running or outdoor stores). This way, you don't have to wear cotton boxers, shorts or shirts and it keeps you cool, dries fast, and keeps the sweat off you. It makes for a much more comfortable experience.

Hope it helps,
Eric

My 63 year old dad wears them every time we go to WDW. He swears by them.
I have been thinking about picking up a couple for DH.......he has the coolmax socks and loves them for hiking and such.

I bought some of these recently on clearance at Lands End:

I plan to wear them along with the Coolmax top I bought at Walmart to AK to ride the Kali Rapids ride (you get really wet!).

I use my top as a swimsuit coverup at the pool also.

When you wash them, don't use fabric softener. It won't allow the wicking. And eventually, if they are like the ones my husband wears for running, they get so dingy, you can't get them white. Not supposed to use bleach.

I bought my CoolMax shirt at L.L. Bean last May specifically for my WDW trip that month. It was AWESOME. Of course, it didn't prevent my back from sweating while I was wearing my backpack, so I learned from my mistakes.

When my husband gets finished with a run, his Coolmax shirt, short and socks are all drenched with sweat. As is he. I wore a coolmax-type shirt for the Family Fun Run 5K and while it was wet, the rest of me didn't get so sweaty.

I will wear them occasionally and they seem to help with the heat. The only problem is they tend to wear out faster and they seem to snag on about everything I come into contact with.
