Coolmax clothing brand?

Since our next trip will be in August, I'm thinking of cooling wardrobe options for DH and I -- the kids will be fine! Has anyone ever used Coolmax brand, it's quite pricey for t-shirts but I don't mind if it will really make a difference in our comfort level.

Coolmax is great - get light colours though so you do not fry in the sunshine. It does not stay wet like cotton and dries fast - especially good for Kali and Splash Moutain etc.

I had coolmax safari shirts on my March trip and they were super comfortable.

Does not have to be coolmax though - Lifa, Gortex, Nylon and other similar materials have like benefits

One thing - LOL - the lanyards tend to agitate nylon material and make it pill

Light colors in CoolMax are the way to go! I wear Coolmax or similar all the time in summer here in Florida. It definitely makes a difference.

Coolmax is my favorite. I think WalMart sells some athletic wear that is Coolmax. Also, the Nike outlet store on 192 has Dri-Fit clothing which is close to the same thing.

I would try to get the 100% Coolmax or similar fabric. A lot of "coolmax" or "dri-fit" clothes have 50% cotton which absorbs moisture and doesn't work quite as well. The higher the percentage of coolmax, the better.

Just as a side note: Since Coolmax evaporates the water from your skin quickly, you will need to DRINK MORE WATER than usual, otherwise you will dehydrate easily.

I would also recommend "UnderArmour"...it sounds simalir to Coolmax. They make it in sleeveless and reg. tee shirts too. Usually get it at sport Authority. Football players use it to keep cool in the summer.

Kallison, Try T J Maxx for some good deals on cool max. I recently found some tank tops there made of cool max material.

I bought cool max socks a few years ago for a trip because I read that it helps with blisters. I love them, don't know about the blister thing cause i still get those. However they are the only socks i wear to the parks. feet don't sweat! gotta love that. Got mine at walmart.

I know that Duofold makes Coolmax. I used to work at the JE Morgan/Duofold Outlet Store in Tamaqua, PA and we sold Coolmax EVERYTHING! Right down to Coolmax underwear! I haven't worked there for years, but I remember they were true outlet store prices. We would take phone call orders and ship anywhere. If I can help you any further, feel free to email me.

Just noticed you were from Bucks county! If you are ever up for a Saturday drive, the JE Morgan/Duofold Outlet Store is located at the intersection of Routes 309 and 209 in Tamaqua. May be worth the drive. They also sell tons of "Long Johns", which you will NOT need in Florida
