Thanks again for the information. I was just wondering if anyone has taken those coolers on wheels? How much of a pain was it to drag around a cooler all day? I know we will have to do this because there are 5 of us. To keep cost down we are trying to think of ways to keep our drinks cool. The hotel we are staying in does not have a freezer, just a mini fridge.

Any suggestions.

Honestly I've never done it but I think it would be a pain. You have to drag it with you and then what are you going to do when you go on the rides? I'd maybe just take a small soft sided cooler you can cram in a locker.

Honestly disney isn't that expensive to eat. I agree with the above poster. Just take a little cooler bag with some drinks and snacks. Myself, Snowwhite, and DD ate at the park last time for $11.00 for lunch. That was hotdog, fries, and a drink each. I thought was very reasonable. Goto allearsnet.com and they have all the info on the dining options at disney with pricing. You can check out all the restaurants menus and counter services as well. Hope this helps.....

DO NOT DRAG A COOLER AROUND...I repeat...DO NOT DRAG A COOLER AROUND IN THE HEAT!!!

Leave it in the car and go back to the car for a break...We did this on our first trip and it was a very nice break from the heat to sit in our air-conditioned car, eat a healthy sandwhich and park hop to a different park. This will be good if you have kids as it will give them a break in the afternoon heat.

We got insulated water bottle holders and froze bottles 1/2 full with water in the small freezer section of the fridge in the room and we did great...We carried tham around and a few snacks in our fanny pack but that was it...Worked great till we went back to the car.

The least amount of stuff you carry the better....

Have a great trip. :wave2:

I would say leave the cooler back at the resort.
The one thing we did, (I'm not sure who old the kids are) is every one carried their own backpack. We brought snacks and a case of water from home and every morning everyone got to pick what they wanted to take to the parks and they put it in their own backpack. We also took along the insulated water bottles for everyone. The bigger ones for the adults and the small one for the kids. We filled them half with ice and then added water. Worked out great. Wasnt to heavy to carry.

Not worth the pain. What we did was get the big water bottles from Mountian Equ Co-op and filled them with ice. By the time the ice melted we had cold water for part of the day. The locker trick might work too. Disney can be expensive to eat but you are there to have fun so try and find a comprimise.

Good luck

I'm pretty sure when I was looking into this issue for our last trip I remember reading somewhere that the large coolers on wheels will not be allowed into the park by security at the gates, just the small soft-sided ones. I think it's the same reasoning as why wagons are not allowed, because when you're pulling something behind you, you aren't really watching who or what you're running over, plus the whole "bringing outside food and beverages into the parks"...it's usually allowed, but technically against the rules.

We bought a cooler backpack that we pack our stuff in much easier than a cooler on wheels we also have one of those that we use for the water parks.
