cooler on castaway cay

We have bought it twice. It is just water (I think--but I'm not a soda drinker at all so maybe that was an option and I didn't pay attention). They last a long time. The only reason we bought another is because a squirrel chewed a hole through it at Animal Kingdom. We love ours and it is so roomy.

We bought one and it was 6 drinks sodas, water or a combo of both. We got all water as soda is available at the drink stations for free. We took our refillable mugs with us for the soda. The cost of the cooler was around 20. Well worth it.

Thanks for the info. We pass on them last trip and about an hour later when I got thirsty the crew member was nowhere to be seen. 20 bucks sounds like a great deal

You can only get water with the coolers. But you can also purchase an empty cooler for around $10. They are definitely convenient if you have kids in activities

Can someone please post a pic of the cooler?
Do they have travel mugs for the DCL like they have at Disneyworld?

Are they available in the shops?:confused3

I'd thought about buying them the first day on-board, as I wanted to give two of them as fish extender gifts.

Oh wow this is cool I will def get one in nov.

They don't sell them in the shops but on our last cruise they were available right upon boarding at the same time as the wine package.

I don't remember the cost, but we got ours with water on CC. We take it back with us now, so we can bring our own bottled water for CC day and other excursions. Just ask room service for ice.

How have I missed this cooler on 4 cruises? I would love a picture as well. Can I buy it on the ship or only CC?

We purchased our years ago and it came with a 6 pack of beer. Perfect for the day on CC.

My DH loves the idea of having a 6 pack for CC. Where do they sell it and how long does it keep the beers cold please?

We purchased it from a server on CC. It was $30 including 6 bottles of Corona and the cooler. Keep in mind that was 2005, so I'd assume the price has changed.

We have never bought the cooler. Water and pop are available for free at Cookies.

As soon as you get off the ship, there are staff stationed there. You can pick up towels and buy coolers with cold bottled water inside.

I always buy Tervis tumblers for souvenirs anyway, so we bring them and use the drink stations at Cookies to fill them up...

Could someone who has seen or purchased the cooler please describe it? How big is it? Just large enough for 6 bottles or cans? Is it soft-sided? If not what it is made of? Does it have a DCL and/or CC design on it?

Thanks for any and all 411!
