Will be at CBR Aug.5-12 and was wondering if it is o.k. to bring a cooler to the pools?:hyper: NO glass of course. Thanks:wave2:

At Coronado Springs they do not allow food, drink, glass in or on the pool deck. Hope this helps.

Wow! At WL we always bring our cooler and keep it near our chair or at an umbrella table.

We always see people sitting around the pool with a drink -- cans or refillable mugs. Also we see people eating snacks/lunch/dinner that they picked up from roaring forks or from their cooler poolside.

We usually bring a soft sided cooler with cans/plastic bottles. We also purchase lunch at the resort's food court/Beaches & Cream, etc, with our refillable mugs and sit at a pool side table. ::yes::

We have done this for as long as I can remember at most of the resorts and have never had an issue.

I have seen lots of coolers at pools.

We're guilty of bringing a soft sided cooler when were are by the pool. :o

at Port Orleans has a "tiki" bar not 50 ft. from the pool. (plastic cups) I think a cooler would be advisable, considering the heat we were dealing with last week!::MickeyMo

I always bring a cooler. A soft sidded 6 pack cooler works great for my family of 4. I've done this at the most of the resorts. When the cooler is empty, it is time to go.

The pool deck area is different from the area where the tables, chairs, and lounges are. You cannot even put a chair in what is considered the pool deck as it can block entry. That sign just means the actual pool deck so bringing food to your tables and chairs is NOT a problem.

Bring your cooler. There was only one time that I saw a CM ask a guest to remove their drinks and that was because they had beer in glass bottles.

I think Skiwee is right. I took it as meaning the immediate area around the pool. I'm sure they don't want people sitting near the pool edge eating a sandwich. I imagine part of the concern would be getting food/drinks spilled into the water.

That is correct. I have been to the WDW resort pools enough to see it. There is always someone that attempts to bring a drink, even in a plastic cup, poolside while watching their kid. There are also those that allow their kids to drag a cracker near the water. The lifeguard will go right up to them and tell them to back up if they want to eat or drink. If you look at the pools, there is a small concrete pad and then a line where another piece of concrete starts. The concrete up against the pool is the pool deck. It is about 3-4 foot wide at the CBR theme pool, the WL theme pool, and the Poly theme pool. You are more then welcome to eat and drink beyone this 3-4 foot concrete boundry. You just can't do it on the immediete deck where it can accidently get in the pool.
