Cool things to see at WDW resorts?

Do you still need a reservation in order to visit? I'm mainly wondering about Wilderness Lodge...I want to check out Geyser Point, but I know you cant make a reservation there!

Your best bet would be to take a boat from Magic Kingdom over to the Wilderness Lodge! That way, you will not be questioned about an ADR, and you could go straight to GP! Enjoy!

Depending on time of day, sometimes Geyser Point is an easy walk up. Other times you'd benefit from putting yourself on the walkup list on the MDE app.

On July 29 we visited Coronado to eat at Three Bridges, and they don't take reservations either. When driving, I had to show my license, and then we parked. Easy.

No reservations but also supports adding yourself to the walkup list.

Keep in mind you're going to have a different experience at each resort. Poly famously turns people away without reservations since people try to use it as a way to park for free and enter MK. Probably happens a little with Wilderness Lodge also but less.

Hi everyone! I'm traveling to WDW in 9 days (ahhh!) and am staying at YC. Given the reports of how crowded things are, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for things off the beaten path to check out or try, either at a resort or in the park. Are there any especially cool or beautiful sights people have seen that they think are worth checking out at the different resorts?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions!! :)
If you're driving, keep in mind that you won't be able to park at other resorts where you don't have a resort or dining reservation.

That said, the value resorts are interesting to tour for their giant statues. Pop Century & Art of Animation are side by side on the Skyliner line, so it would be easy for you to take the Skyliner from Epcot to those resorts.

Fort Wilderness offers trail rides through the woods, which is a nice experience. You should get a reservation if you want to do that.
