Here are a few cool pics from the park yesterday and a brief Buzz Lightyear anecdote. Note: the last one was taken on Peter Pan with the lights on. If you'd prefer not to spoil the magic, I've placed it at the bottom with ample spoiler space.

1). I was the first in the park so here's Main Street virtually vacant.

2). This is duckling season at the park :-).

Let's fill this space with a small park anecdote (more spoiler space below):

A few of the younger woman that work Buzz seem to recognize me and often say hello. Yesterday one of them let me use the same Fast Pass three times! That is, she didn't collect it when I came through so I was enabled to use it multiple times. Kind of a nice thing. Might have used it a fourth time but I had a FP for HSM that I was itching to burn up. Lots of other cool things happened yesterday but perhaps I'll save those for another post in another thread :-).

*******SPOILER SPACE*******PIC OF THE FIRST ROOM OF PP WITH THE LIGHTS ON. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED ;-).

3). The first room of Peter Pan with the lights on. Shortly after the ride opened for the day, it broke down. As always, though, Disney made amends.

That pic of PP is indeed horrifying! I hate seeing the illusions spoiled when the lights come on. The London at the Magic Kingdom version is a bit more detailed, but it would probably still look awful with the lights on.

They are. That surprised me too. In the dark, the effect is very powerful. I hope this doesn't change the way I look at the ride.

Agreed. Never would have thought they used bags. It's cool seeing it like that. Happened to me on space mountain and didn't ruin the ride for me :)

It's been a while since I've been on PP as it was closed in 2015. What are the bags for? Are they mock clouds?

I love seeing the behind the scenes stuff! it doesn't ruin anything for me, actually it highlights the imagineers ingenuity even more! But the spoiler warning was very thoughtful for others.

What lovely photos! I am always amazed by what "normal" items can be made into with some imagination and lighting! PP is one of my favorites and an extra benefit is I use the black lights to determine if I need to whiten my teeth again :rotfl:

An empty Main St always gives me the Disney stomach butterflies!
