Cool new ways to spend $$$ at the parks...

Don, do you wear crocs? I've been trying to get Paul to wear em. :rolleyes1

Umm...NO!! RESIST PAUL!! FIGHT THE POWER!!

(psss...I have some croc flip flops, that don't at all like regular crocs however)

just the opposite. i saw someone sell 12 of them (half of a box) on ebay for $300. a box of 24 costs $250.
i bought a set and got them signed by the artists who painted them. at the Art of Disney they had pictures of what the next 2 editions will look like. some look really neat. the only ones out of this set that i like are the kermit, sorcerer mickey, and yeti.

Yes, just like beanie babies- dont get it, at least beanie babies were cute.
Can say I will NOT be using my reward dollars on these.
In a year you wont be able to unload them on ebay. I agree, put limited edition on something and people act crazy :confused3

108 of them on Ebay from $8.99 to $24.99 each...

They are interesting. Most here may not like them, but I bet in a month, every collector will want these and prices will soar on ebay.

that's why i bought a second case to keep til March when this series (Parks #1) is discontinued and the second series (Urban) becomes available.

I have about 6 gazillion limited edition pins under the bed if your interested.

If....and thats a big if....if this catches on.....it will be hot for a short while and then Disney will flood the market, raise the edition size, sell them in virtually every single location with a cash register and then they will be worthless.

And then you too can have some Disney under your bed.

Wow...so, I guess this is an example of one person's trash being another person's treasure.

Not something I'd want to spend any $ on, that's for sure.

the smart thing disney does with these is that they won't let you know what you're buying. it's like those packs of hidden mickey pins with 2 pins for $10. and you're supposed to collect all 4 plus the extra completer pin. disney is very good at getting people to shell out their money.

I dunno how I entirely feel just yet. I think one of two of them are "semi-cute," but the others are just butt ugly. I'm curious to see where those goes.

I'm very into pin trading. I do it for fun not necessarily to seek out the pins worth the most. I really enjoying collecting the pins as a hobby. I'm wondering if this is going to grow big like pin collecting has.

BTW...I saw pin versions of these designs online a few weeks back. Even those were hideous! lol

:confused3 Why would anyone want these! :confused3
Guess they're just not my cup of tea.
