Cool new special effect from Stan & Randy

Ok, I know it has been awhile since I posted here, but we had something happen on our wedding trip that I just couldn't wait to share. I had been asked to keep quiet by Stan at STVS and by Randy Chapman until they could put the finished product together... which just happened yesterday. So now I'm happily sharing!

We got married on December 4th, and had booked both Stan and Randy to cover our wedding video and photography. Well while we were down in Orlando they pitched an idea to us for a new product they wanted to work on together. We said we would be happy to be guinea pigs.

They have created a virtual Illuminations video... meaning it's a video of Illuminations with you in it, as if you were there in your bridal gear, only Stan and Randy don't actually have to be in the park with you to do so. Basically you stand in front of a blue screen for a few minutes on your wedding day... it doesn't take long at all! Then Randy takes a few still photos and Stan takes a little video all while you pose in front of the blue screen. Then by the lovely magic they create a few weeks later boom you have video of your Illuminations viewing.

You can check out the video they created with us. It is on Stan's website www.stvsweddings.com then in the menu on the left of the page you would click on the link for Special Effects and it's right at the top of the page.

I especially thought this was cool because we had our Rehearsal Dinner at Illuminations the night before. Which makes Illuminations even more special in our hearts. But the night of the wedding we were doing stuff by the MK so there was no way we could have done this in person. But now we not only have the pictures Randy took from the rehearsal dinner, but also there is video of us in wedding gear as if we had been there both nights.

its pretty cute...you can def see its fake, needs some editing still, but its a neat idea! I think its a great idea if you/they cant be there that night!

ITA - it really needs some work to be anywhere near believable, but it's still cute.

I felt that for a first go it came out pretty good. I know at times it's a little off but I think with practice it will become smoother. Plus with Disney's new restrictions it is an interesting idea.

Sorry for not posting the username and password - I saved them in so long ago that when it didn't ask me for it I forgot to include them. No I think the pictures Randy takes are just edited in somehow I think it's part of how they do the process at this stage I guess. I know that both of them took footage in front of the blue screen though.

What a cute idea although i do agree with everyone else that it needs a bit more work to get it to look more realistic.
Its great to see that both Stan & Randy are working on new ideas, good to see that they re both so creative too . We ve got both Randy & Stan for our wedding so cant wait to see what they can both come up with.
