I have noticed that there are a lot of people on these boards who really like Misty Mates. I have never seen them but have thought about getting a couple for our trip in August. Can anyone tell me what makes these better than just buying a cheap spray bottle and filling it up with water? Just wondering.

They also have them at BJs for like $15 or $16 for a 3 pack, which would be about $5 a piece. I just picked some up on Saturday.

if you have a store called FIVE BELOW , they have water mister/fans for $3.00. they hold +/- 12 oz of water and the fan is foam anremoves easily, so caught hair doesn't seam to be a big issue. the fan can be stopped with a finger without almost any resistance so there won't be any hurt fingers. check it out!

They put out a *super* fine mist, so it's more cooling as it is truly evaporative

I was just going to post the same thing! We picked up a 3-pack on a whim and are SOOOO thankful we did!

I also like that they don't have a fan of any sort (fewer moving parts to break/malfunction) and they don't require batteries!
