Cooking with a non condensed soup?

I wanted to know if you could cook with a non condensed soup? I am making boneless pork chops for dinner and wanted to brown them on the stove then finish them in the oven with a cream of mushroom soup. The soup is Progresso creamy mushroom. I'm hoping the soup will not get too watery.

Any suggestions?

I'm gonna give it a try. I was thinking if it gets too "soupy" I could thicken it up a bit.

Usually more liguid is added in recipes that use condensed soup. So it shouldn't be that runny once it cooks down a bit.

Dinner was great! I breaded the chops and browned them on the stove put the soup over them and put they in the over for 25 mins on 350* and they were so good! Gravy was just a bit thin but it was fine!

I do this a lot - usually with pork or chicken - just don't add the extra can of water to the soup first...it makes a nice sauce/gravy.

Glad yours turned out well! Yum!
