DD has Cooking Mama 2, and for some strange reason she asked for Cooking Mama (1) from Santa for her DS. Are they pretty much the same or are they different enough that I can get the first one too? TIA.

DGD has #1 and is getting 2 & 3 for Christmas.. They were on her list and she previewed them somewhere, so I'm assuming they're different..

Fun game.. She loves it..:santa:

I put Cooking Mama right there with the Harvest Moon games - there are just enough differences that my DD enjoys them. She's 12 and she has 1 & 2 and has asked for the 3rd one.

Thanks. I bought it at Target for $14.99 today, and was getting buyer's remorse. I was oing to take it back, I guess I won't now.

What are the Harvest Moon games? DGD is 11 - if it makes a difference..:santa:

I bought Cooking Mama for my grandma for her birthday (Christmas Eve).

She lives with my parents and they bought a Wii for Christmas. She likes to watch the great-grandchildren play when she comes to my house, so I thought she would enjoy a game of her own. She mentioned that she saw it on a talk show or something, so I thought she was hinting. ;)

Glad to hear it's fun. The kids and I have been tempted to test it out for her. :goodvibes

Here's a link to the games on Amazon. They will tell you what each one is about.

It's enjoyable enough to say that when DS14 (15 at the end of Feb) wants to take a break from all the stuff he normally plays, he has been known to go in a play one of the 3 DD has for the GameCube. She also has 4 or 5 of them for the DS, which he will also play. But we aren't sayING a word about it in front of his friends. :rolleyes1

I have all 3 Cooking Mama's. The second and the third ones are pretty much the same, but more recipies. The third one also has mini games in a grocery store kinda fun too. I also got the Cooking Mama for the Wii, I can't wait to play it!:santa:
