Hi, my son is a HUGE cooking/foodie junkie and was so excited when they announced cooking classes at Downtown Disney during our trip window but turns out it's on the 24th when we are on the ship so he is VERY bummed!!!
Do you know if on the ships (we'll be on the Dream) they do any type of cooking classes or kitchen tours that kids can do??
Thanks!
Lesley

When we sailed the Magic a few years ago they also had "Ratatouille Cooking School" as one of the activities in the Lab. I think they made chocolate chip cookies.

I'll be on the Dream with you :) I'm pretty sure they have "cookie" classes in the clubs. I was bummed too that we miss the one at downtown disney. As soon as we see the 5 night navigators we'll know for sure.

Cool Thanks!!! Wish the cooking thing in Downtown Disney wasn't just a one time thing.

Check the navigator every day, they definately have food focussed activities as well as cookie baking in the kids clubs on the Dream. The kitchen tour is for adult gold and platinum CC members only. Your son will have a blast.

I bet if you spoke with your server at one of your meals, they might be able to get the chef to come out and speak with your son about life as a chef. Probably can't tour the kitchens or any of that, but he might enjoy the chance to talk to someone who cooks for a living. :)

Kitchen tour sounds cool, but I'm honestly annoyed by all the "levels" of service disney has implemented. Starting to feel like I'm on the titanic and stuck in steerage. Wonder if I'll have to be in concierge level to get a life boat soon?

Seriously! I'm with you. Maybe we should pack our own life jacket and whistle just in case!:lmao:

Yes, I do remember that class...my daughter decided to ditched me and my husband to take that class rather than go on an excursion we paid for just to take that class...:lmao:.
