Cooking classes???

Hi all-


I wasn't sure where to post this, but I was wondering if any of the resorts or Downtown Disney might offer a cooking class? While on vacation it will be MIL's Bday and she loves to cook- I figured maybe this could be a fun thing for her to do. Any ideas??

Not sure how old your child is but the Grand Floridian offers a cooking class for children of certain ages call "Grand Adventures in Cooking". It is about $30 and it lasts for approximately 2 hours. They actually read them a book, decorate chef's hats, and then cook something directly related to the book that was read to them. When their cooking project is finished they parade around the lobby of the hotel offering their cuisine to the staff, etc. I'm sure you can type in something via the net and find out all about it. That's how I did.

Thanks for your reply! I am going to check out the GF- it is actually for an adult- my mother in law. Although the kids would love to do something also!!

MY KIDS DID THE GRAND ADVENTURES IN COOKING @ GF AND HAD A GREAT TIME. GOT GREAT PICTURES WITH THEM ALL DRESSED UP IN THEIR APRONS AND CHEF HATS (WITH MOUSE EARS). MY DD5 WEARS HERS WHLIE WERE MAKE COOKIES HERE @ HOME.

I believe you might be thinking of the Disney Institute, which is now Saratoga Springs Resort.

I used to see info. for those all of the time when we would order the WDW video. I never got to try them. That would have been a blast.

My 2 DD's did the Grand adventures in cooking..........one of their best memories!

The cooking class sounds cute, although it seens as if it may be geared more toward younger kids. My DD's are 8 and 10, has anyone taken kids this age and did they have fun? or is it really for younger children, therefore they would be bored?

The info I have is it is for ages 4 - 10. The classes are held on Tuesday and Friday at 10 AM. They only allow 10 kids per class.
