Cooker restraunts

They all closed! We went to go eat and the doors we pad looked shut http://www.the-cooker.com/ is the link to the website. Its got the letter that was on the door.

My DH and I LOVED cooker, especially the soup and biscuits .

I worked at the Cooker for about 6 months. I miss the food so bad. What a great restaurant. Everything there was made fresh daily except the Mac and Cheese. They had some of the best dishes too. This makes me so sad, if I had known they were closing I would have went one last time, there is one about an hour from my house.

FYI: the reason for all of the closing of the restaurants was very poor management by their former CEO. He took out loans and didn't pay them, their credit rating was really bad. Just so sad, it was a great chain of restaurants.

They were great restaurants... well for a while at least. I loved the biscuits, but the service and food selections kept getting worse and worse. Last time I went was in Oct for our anniversary... we decided to never go there again after that meal. Too bad... we used to love that place.

Too much expansion, too fast with not the best management.

However, the last time I went my food was half cooked and that was it.

They reported on the local news that they just locked employees out, cut off their health benefits and the last paychecks they all received can't be cashed...BAD FORM! These poor people had NO warning! One poor young woman is pregnant and just bought her first house.

You know, when stuff like this happens I really understand the need for universal healthcare...I doubt these poor folks can get COBRA or have access to any health benefits. You can't tell me that this company didn't know they were going to do this a week or a month ago....GREEDY IDJITS!
