So I just had an interesting conversation with a DVC rep waiting for our Grand Floridian Cafe reservation!
She mentioned they had a meeting last week about the new Poly tower and they saw some new renderings that included a potential new bar and an outdoor covered seating area that looks “really cool” according to her.
She also said the theme of the new tower is going to be based more in Polynesian culture than the 70s tiki vibes of the current PVB, maybe a bit keep like Aulani? I’m not sure I’ve never been. She said they brought Polynesian artists to help with the theming and there will be at least one large mural/wall art piece. And lots of greenery!
To be fair, most on here have already speculated all this but it’s good to hear it finally being fleshed out by Disney themselves!
Oh and she also mentioned that Grand Floridian is officially sold out now! Not sure how solid that is since I can still see it as a live option on the website but maybe they’re going to update that soon.
