Convince me to stay off resort

....one parent can hop on a bus and go back to the resort, while the other can stay in the parks with the 6 yo. ....
Another really good point! Especially in the evenings - our 3 YO needs to get to bed, but the 6 YO is bulletproof, she can stay up 'til midnight and be fine the next day.

We took a Disney cruise in Fall 2005, and on the last night my wife stayed up with our then 4 YO. They went and saw the fireworks after the pirate party, then to the "Golden Mickeys" and got back to the room around 11:30 eating a giant lollipop! They were both on :cloud9: Of course, I had been stuck in the tiny room with a sleeping baby for hours...

we're not morning people, but during the summer we found it necessary to become morning people or we would go through 4 hours in a park with barely getting to do 2 attractions due to crowds. And we've been going to WDW since 1994 (over 30 visits) and some days it's impossible to not avoid crowds. So TOur Guide Mike is something to consider, but it's not gospel imho.
True, but both TGM and UG also emphasize this point---it's not like they ignore it. The UG people even had a podcast recently about what they do during the "power hour" in each park---the first hour the park is open.
