Converting to APs before arriving at DLR?

thanks to everyone for great advice!
We are arriving 8/13, and I purchased 5 day park hoppers on Disney website along with our hotel reservation. Now we’ve decided to go again in December and so would like to convert to APs. Is there any way to do this before we get to Anaheim? It’d be great to avoid standing in ticket line in the esplanade. The actual tickets will be given to us when we check in, not mailed to us in Seattle as in past years. Thanks!

No, I do not think so. You have to go to the ticket booths anyway when you purchase an AP. They process the AP and give you your cards at the ticket booth, not at the gate. You can take an AP voucher to a gate to get in to the park, but at some point during that day you have to go to the ticket booth. What I suggest is to wait until the 14th (unless you are staying on site). Then you can use your MM on Tuesday for the extra hour in the morning. If you go to the ticket booths midday there is rarely a line. You can usually just walk right up.

I agree with the PP. If there is a line at the ticket booths when you get there, just use the PH tickets until there is no line. We converted 6 PH tickets last July. The process wasn't terrible, but plan on it taking some time.

Also, ask for a magic morning pass from the ticket booth since once you convert to an AP you won't have that on your ticket anymore. But they used to be able to give you a paper pass to use one day.
