Converting gifted ticket to AP?

I was gifted a 4 day park hopper ticket by my boss. He linked it to my MDE account, so I don't have any paperwork for it.

Is it still possible to use this ticket to bridge to an AP on my next visit? He said it was a standard ticket, with no restrictions, but I'm wondering if there will be an issue since all I have is the linked digital ticket in my MDE and no paperwork or receipt.

Upgrading it shouldn't be a problem as long as it wasn't a comp ticket or anything like that. Price bridging will depend on when and where the ticket was originally obtained by your boss.

Do you have a MagicBand or other RF-enabled media linked to your MDX account? If not, you may encounter some CMs who won't know how to find the ticket - MDX gives us almost no information.

Do this:
Log onto your MDX account using your phone app and check your tickets.
That should reveal their expiration date.
That will tell us how "old" these tickets are, and therefore how much the upgrade to AP cost will be.

This happened to me in December. A cast member took a very long time to access my parents tickets to activate them with the Canadian Resident special. They don’t own magic bands and it never occurred to me they wouldn’t be able to find them without a magic band

The options we have to look up tickets are:
- RFID enabled media (a MagicBand or card connected to the same MDX account profile)
- The Visual ID from RFID enabled media (such as a photo of a lost ticket card, or the "MagicBands and cards" list in MDX if there's been RFID enabled media attached to that account profile before)
- The will call reservation/confirmation number (this is what most guests bring, thankfully)
- The credit card the tickets were paid with, if ordered directly from Disney (totally useless for third party company orders or hotel package tickets)
- The name and billing address of the person who paid (does not always work and must be entered exactly verbatim as it was on the order if it's going to work at all)
- Absolute last resort, not reliable at all, not even sure why we have it: The email address of the owner of the MDX account AND the first name of the person whose profile the ticket is attached to (also must be entered exactly as it is in MDX - if the guest is named Bill but he's in MDX as Billy it ain't coming up under Bill)

Not all CMs even know how to do the last one because of how unreliable it is.
