Hi. OK, so I purchased a "hard ticket" 5-day Hopper Plus. Now I'm thinking I might want an AP instead because I want to purchase TIW.

So....what do I do. Do I go to guest services in Disney Springs (staying at Poly)...and pay the $400 plus difference AND the cost of TIW? Would the AP start that day or the day I actually start using it?

Thanks,

So....what do I do.
1. Do I go to guest services in Disney Springs (staying at Poly)...
2. and pay the $400 plus difference AND the cost of TIW?
3. Would the AP start that day or the day I actually start using it?

Thanks,

1. Guest Relations.
You can do so at Disney Springs ("Welcome Center") or at ANY Guest Relations or ticket window outside any WDW park, or at TTC.
(You can ASK nicely at the Poly Concierge Desk -but I'm not a big fan of a resort CM attempting to deal with APs... even though some will do so.)

2. You didn't say which AP.
(I'm also going to include deducting Memory Maker.
If you didn't buy Memory Maker add $169 to my bottom-line upgrade costs.)

1010.69 Platinum Plus AP
-527.18 5-day PH Plus
-169.00 Memory Maker-Advance Purchase
=314.51 Price to upgrade to Platinum Plus AP

--- OR --

$904.19 Platinum AP
-527.18 5-day PH Plus
-169.00 Memory Maker-Advance Purchase
=208.01 Price to upgrade to Platinum AP

>> Then, add the cost of TIW.

3. If you have not already started using your original ticket, yes.
(If you HAVE already started using your original ticket, the AP would be back-dated
to that first-use date.)

(All prices include tax.)

You can also upgrade your tickets to an annual pass in the Disney World My Experience app, it was super easy that way.

Can you tell me how to upgrade thru the app? I’ve looked at it but can’t figure it out.

I purchased my tix from a third party site (very legitimate site, by the way......a real hard ticket)

Oh, I never bought the memory maker, so I guess I won't be deducting the cost of that from the AP cost.....Darn. I don't even WANT memory maker....hate that it is included in the cost of the AP

To me, it's a bonus. You still save money without considering the memory maker.

Sorry for hijack...
Just back and my friend had a 5 day park hopper plus ticket.
Just home yesterday.
Do you have to upgrade in person at WDW?
Can she go online and upgrade now with 14 day of 1st use?
If so that’s amazing:-)
Thanks
Kerri

1. Yes.
2. Nope.
They used to do that, but now they have specifically put an end to the practice.

Thankyou.... and dammit!
Lol thanks for the quick response. Much quicker than the official AP Wdw people. Although I received formula response and waiting for the hard No:headache:
Thanks
Kerri

We asked about deducting the cost of the memory maker when we upgraded and we were told no.

Had you already purchased Memory Maker for the trip you were on when you attempted the upgrade?

If you want more information, you need to tell us more details.

Oh I am not complaining. I'm just saying that a cast member told us that memory makers were never deducted during an annual pass upgrade no matter when it was purchased or if anything was or was not used, and that the memory maker was a separate done deal. So it's another one of those depends on who you ask because apparently cast members don't know their own rules.

But... I am also a person who was told by multiple cast members that we didn't have to upgrade to the water park pass even though we had already visited a water park. Sooo... I wasn't about to make a big stink about the memory maker deduction when technically we saved A LOT more money by not having to upgrade our entire family to the plus pass.

How did you do it? I don’t see that option. Did you have to use your tickets first?

In the app click on ‘my tickets’ and then click on your ticket and you should see a upgrade to annual pass option. I do believe you have to use your ticket for it to appear

Thank you. Since I haven’t used mine it only says reassign ticket.

Sorry to HIJack......
We have a ten day hopper that is included in our package (no Memory Maker), are these tickets able to be upgraded to AP if them were purchased with a package?

If possible can someone tell what the cost would be and how would I go about doing this if it is possible. Do I need to activate the ticket prior to upgrading?
Thank you in advance

you have to upgrade in person if you bought it from a third party.

the only tickets that can be upgraded in advance/internet/phone are tickets bought directly from disney.

According to at least one first-hand report, that has not been the case, either.
The poster could upgrade an UT ticket and it was "price-bridged" to the current WDW price.
Included a frame-grab of the "offer."
