Converting 5 day hopper plus to AP

According to at least one first-hand report, that has not been the case, either.
The poster could upgrade an UT ticket and it was "price-bridged" to the current WDW price.
Included a frame-grab of the "offer."

I made about 5 phone calls trying to do this in advance of the last AP price hike and was told it was a no go every time, even talking to supervisors. Maybe things have changed in the last few months but as of about 6 months ago, they said they just could not do it. I ended up selling my tickets to a friend and just purchasing the APs outright. They WERE the older non-expiring tickets though. She got a great deal and I got to buy the APs before the price was jacked up on them.

If you find it hard to keep up with ticketing changes... and rumors of ticketing changes...
consider that I actually try to keep this board's Ticket Sticky "current"
with all of these bizarre sliding rules and moving-target procedures that come and go like clouds in the Springtime.
(To mix a few metaphors.) ;)

I know you provide a lot of useful information for this board. I would not be buying a ticket from a third party reseller again if I have an inkling of trying to upgraded it again. it was a lot of hassle and heartache and not worth whatever the initial savings was. Disney may be fluid in this but it is far more likely that they will be able to help you if you buy the tickets directly from them than from a reseller (even reputable, it's not about that).

Ah, I found it (in the Ticket Sticky of all places.)
I knew I had just read it.

Hi @ravenclawtrekkie - I believe that bridging does work when upgrading an annual pass in the app!

Here is what it looks like from a 10-day park Hopper Plus that I bought on Undercover Tourist:

Just uninformed CMs.
Makes no difference from where the tickets were purchased.

I've been following and helping DISers with "ticket upgrade antics" for over a decade.

Some doozies over the years!

well if I can't get it done with 5 phone calls and talking to supervisors then that is close enough to "impossible" for me. There's only so much time I have to put into this.

I agree.

but I'm glad that someone else was able to get it to work and maybe it will be more common! the only thing consistent about Disney is that they are inconsistent! But thanks for trying to put order into it all!
