Good day Disboards members, I need some help please. I have two older TV's in my RV. I have to get the converter boxes from the trading post. I was wondering if someone knows were I can buy a converter box like the ones at the Fort. I did buy one at Radio Shack but it would not work. Thanks, FSU ED:happytv:

ED, Ed, ed, Ed, Ed,

How you doin' my friend? I haven't heard much from you here lately. (Ed came by my site back in March cuz my green sign was out).

The term "converter" confuses me. A true converter is something that converts old analog over-the-air tv signals to digital signals for old tube type TV's. That's not something I'm aware of the Fort lending out.

The Fort does lend out cable modems to use for Internet use with your computer (the same coax that provides the tv channels) but those modems, as have been discussed here in the past, are preprogrammed to be the only type to work on the Disney system. Even if you bought the same brand/make/model cable modem that they check out to guests, yours won't be pre-programmed. Our poster jbrostek talks a good game on this topic.

When you headed back to the Fort, buddy? Roll Damn Tide.

Oooops. Fat fingered a double post. Ed

the OTA converters will not work on cable. HDTV and decide unencrypted signals on cable, but its not the same as the OTA version from Walmart.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I will just have to buy two new TV's for the Trailer.
Sorry Bama Ed, just been busy with work and family stuff. We did just get back from the Fort. Spent our first Halloween at the Fort. We have always been there the week before. We had a great time, did MNSSHP on Oct 30th. Then did all the stuff at the Fort, 3 DD's had a great time. Lets just say candy is no problem at our house.
I have 3 trips at the Fort next year, April spring break. Again at Halloween, Then I was able to get Christmas. Looking for good times.
Also, Bama Ed I saw your pictures of your new trailer. Hope to see it first hand soon. Hope to meet you again.
Plus, GO Noles !!!! I know what you may be saying. I still love my team, just not some of the Players. :thumbsup2
