Has anyone here used the convention tickets? What was the process like? And I'd like to hear from those that got them legitamately or otherwise.

Here's my question. A good friend of mine is with a national tour of a broadway show. His company is willing to pay for one day at WDW but, most of the cast want to do two days AND they want to park hop. I raised the possibility of a two day convention ticket to my friend and said that maybe they could work it out with the production company where the company pays half and the cast pays half of the ticket price.

Thanks for any input!

Firstly - which show is your friend with?? :)

Second of all:

It sounds like the producers of the show would probably need to call Disney and set something up. That way, there wouldn't be a problem at all.

A friend of mine bought a meeting/convention ticket direct from the Disney meeting/convention site, and she used it without problem or incident.

The only catch to meeting and convention tickets (at least hers) is that all of the days had to be used within 13 days of first use, AND the ENTIRE ticket expired on 12/31/04 regardless of whether or not any days had been used. It said as much directly on the ticket. She purchased the ticket in advance, and picked it up at Guest Relations via Will Call.

Wait for GoldenOldie. She'll tell you what you need to know. I just like info ASAP, so I thought I'd share what I know!

EDITED TO ADD: Rodrigo's right. It is 10 days from first use. Sorry!

I was in a Convention last August. Right there in the Convention Center there was a booth selling the tickets. We bought 2 days hoppers plus one admission to Disney Quest or Pleasure Island, for $112 tax included.
The ticket expires by 12-31-04, good for 10 days after 1st use.
I could buy it in advance, but I did it on site.
They also had tickets for Sea World, Universal and most of the well known attractions in Orlando.
The usage was uneventfull.
