I feel like the board is very buyer focused and some things that are from an owner selling point of view are looked at as “not being on the same team”.Is that unpopular?

Seems like Econ 101! Supply and demand curve basics. Even as buyers, that much should be obvious to all of us. The nice part of DVC is it isn’t a struggle to take a Disney vacation or rent your points, so sellers have alternatives to selling.I feel like the board is very buyer focused and some things that are from an owner selling point of view is looked at as “not being on the same team”.
I’m going to shoot straight with you…. it’s pretty fabulous!I wish I had enough points to be in need of having to rent some out.![]()
Oh that’s just mean. lolI’m going to shoot straight with you…. it’s pretty fabulous!
DVCforLess.com is a DVC drug haven for DVC drug-addicted druggies who only do DVC drugs. If you and or your friends like DVC, don't go to DVCforLess.com. Let me be the victim and pick up a nice August contract on the cheap since you won't be there to buy it.
I check everything for our August UY. We thought September would be our year of travel, but it's not. Now, we are stuck. Kind of like our 3.125% mortgage. So I only search that UY. But yeah, I look at all resorts, some more keenly than others.
And since we have gone from 220 points to 395 in two months, I'm probably not even close to done...
Hahaha, that's the greatest thing I've seen all week.!!Just went to that site for the first time....awesome site.....although it did make me put in an offer on a contract when I wasn't even looking for something!

I’ve always liked the simplicity of this site, glad it’s back! Also looks like https://dvcsearch.com might be back in business?
I think it's still sorta broken, but at least it has had an update, so its a sign it could be coming back.I’ve always liked the simplicity of this site, glad it’s back!
Also just saw a BWV pending with asking price at $88it was stripped but still…wonder if someone here got it.

Oh that's too funny... so what did you get??Offer was accepted....I definitely must not go to that site again.

What seems to escape many is how critical the Use Year can be in the sale. If you just look at price and coming points, many look the same, but if there were a ton of similar contracts (same UY) available recently, sometimes everyone looking for that particular combo already purchased, so it will take a while for a market to build for that combo again.I also have been watching and have some saved searches on https://www.dvcforless.com/
What confuses me are the contracts that are STILL there, not the lack of contracts or the contracts that disappear quickly. What is the deal with these contracts that sit for months and months and months? Some of them are completely loaded and the ppp is not great but not the worst. What gives?
Me too... WHYYYY did I decide to read this thread???Wow - www.dvcforless.com is an eye opener. How did I not already know about this??
Hoping ridiculously good prices might line up with my desire to add more Riviera (resale) points since my CA plan was destroyed around VDH opening. But now, after avoiding for months, seeing some GVC contracts asking <$250???Honestly I just see a lot of volatility in financial markets coupled with an economy still high in inflation and couple that with geo political uncertainty and an aging DVC population who have owned since the 90s and ready to move on with their contracts that have served them very well through the years and the downward trajectory we've seen DVC prices in the last few years...
Nothing concrete but I just feel a lot of these factors will play a role in getting ridiculously good prices soon.

I feel ya. But I did sign another after my long ordeal. Hoping it doesn't take nearly as long. (still don't have those points yet)All it took was two of the worst resale closing stints and I am cured!
I really don't need anything. But I'm open minded if Poly comes down to earth and Reflections has a lazy river. Or RIV keeps getting cheaper I guess... cured.
ohhh where did you go?I was partially cured by going on a non-Disney vacation. It made me realize that I don't want to go to Disney for every single vacation!
Do you use a broker? If so, which? My goal with 1 contract is to rent to swap for cruising. It further does not help when I discovered trading points via renting into cruises. There's another addiction I'm working through.
Im jealous! But it's all good. I'm getting a hit right now by boarding a plane in a few hours for D23. CURED!
Yeah we all talk about getting deals, and I LOVE deals. But now that I will own 4 contracts Id like prices to up and not down.I feel like the board is very buyer focused and some things that are from an owner selling point of view are looked at as “not being on the same team”.
