Can I buy 220 points and break that into two smaller contracts? Say a 170 and 50? I would love to do this because my sister would love to buy just a 50point contract at BLT. Could I sell it to her (I know it would have to go though ROFR). Or could we do a contract with both our names on each of the 170 and 50 and then later change the ownership? Not sure if there is a way to do this. Thanks!

i don't think they will let you do this at BLT at this point, since there is a 100 pt limit, but it doesn't hurt to ask. you could definitely do it at another resort.

yes. (also, DVC will usually waive ROFR if family is involved.)

VGC has a 100 pt min too and I was able to purchase 100 pts broken into 2 50 pt contracts.

I think you should always break your add on contracts to a size no bigger than 75. It will hold it's value better. Also make your master (first) contract as small as possible (usually 160). Don't make the mistake I made and buy a big contract whose value sinks like a rock in a pool.
