Continuing/Split stay question

Let's say I rented points for a few nights from owner A, and then an additional night from owner B, which would fall at the end of my stay. I know that sometimes with "regular" room reservations they can keep you in the same room for the whole stay if you ask at the front desk. Is this something they're able to do on the DVC side of things? Trying to make a decision about where to stay for our last night...

It would be during Marathon weekend in January.

Both owners would have to make a request to member services to note that you have a continuing stay (i.e. link reservation #xxxxxxxx to reservation #zzzzzzzzz). It'snot something that a renter can do. The alternative would be to ask the front desk to make that request when you check in. In either case, staying in the same room is not guaranteed, but they certainly try to honor the request whenever possible.

This coming January? I don't know how much is left. Five months might seem like it's far out, but DVC members book their home resort at 11 months and other resorts at 7 months.
