I'm trying to decide on an airline for our August trip. We want an early flight to MCO and a late flight back to either JFK or EWR. We can book our 5 seats now on Continental for $1096.00. Or we can wait until JetBlue releases their August rates. What would you do?
Well as airfare prices go, they are usually at it´s cheapest about 2-3 month before the departure, so

What i would do are, " look at the prices for travel the same route in 2 mount" (Nov 2009). As i can see the rates are about 210 pr pers, and thats about the same in aug 2010, so it does not seems like CO goes any cheeper.
But just wait for the Jet Blue rates,as the CO rates will not get higher.
As service goes, Jet Blue are everyones favorite it seems, but their rates are usually not that "cheap" anymore.
Continental has it´s "hub" at EWR, so it leaves MCO almost every hr.
(if your not traveling with kids, use CO 24hr before the departure internet check inn and choose the EXIT row, and you will get the best seat in the house.) It seems to me like no one do this,as i always have empty seats beside me on the exit row.(until people starts switching) PS: reason for this im guessing are that the Exit rows seats are not open for pre booking when you book the flight, but they WILL be available to book 23hr,59 min, before your departure.
