Contest - How many attempts did it take Roger to back his new camper into the drive?

The funny thing is that most people think that cause the pup is small it is easy to back. It lets you get into smaller spots, but they move around so fast they can really be a pain sometime especially when trying to back them behind a dually pickup and you can't see the trailer move until it has really started to MOVE. Then you gotta pull forward, straighten it out and start again.

That's the fact, Jack. Or Mike, as the case may be. My first popup was the smallest trailer I had and the hardest to back up. The easiest trailer I ever backed up was in my days working for the tree farm, when I pulled a 40 ft. trailer behind a single axle dump truck. I could put that thing anywhere.

Well, if his experience goes like ours ....he backed it in, his wife said it looked good but he wasn't satisfied. It needs a little "tweaking". After adjusting and readjustng and getting frustrated and then giving up to have a beer, his wife gets in the truck, interprets his hand motions, and puts it in place effortlessly.

Awesome!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Lucky for Rog it sounds like it wasnt as entertaning as my first attempt at backing out pup in!!! :rotfl2:

There are several Fiends here that could testify to that hilarity...

lets see, never backed in a trailer in my life, golf cart in the back of the truck so you cant see anything, mix in some pouring rain... :lmao: lots a laughs on that one!!!

Once my ankle is better I am planning on practicing backing the trailer into the driveway so I can pull some solo trips to the Fort this winter :yay:

Learn to use your side mirrors when backing and make sure you have some really good side mirrors. The only thing the rearview mirror in the cab is good for is checking my hair or to see if I have boogers hanging out of my nose.

What did I win ? I guessed two even though Rog wasn't actually driving. It should still count. LOL

We gotta wait until Rog actually backs it up for the first time. Hopefully, it will be at the Fort so we have some witnesses.

The side mirrors on Matts truck wont adjust by the button and are set for him driving- so are almost useless to me unless I remember to have him help me fix them before I leave...

and just hope and pray that there is minimal collateral damage........

I didnt push that picnic table that far.... :rotfl2:

All witnesses will be considered as targets in the obstacle coarse!!! Most likely, the only safe place to stand will be dead center of the pad!!

Hey now, Missy!! I was there. I was awed by what you DID do. If it weren't for that golf cart in the bed of your truck blocking your view, (plus the torrential rain) you would have had it in the first (or very least), second try. Even Rick was stymied by the golf cart! You were AwEsOmE, Cheryl!! :cool1:

I have found that no matter how many first attempts I have, I always seem to get it in on the last try.

...slowly I turned; inch by inch; step by step!!
OMG- I Love Lucy!!!! I love those reruns (is it weird that I know the whole Vitametavegamin commercial- both ways... it's just too funny.)

My guess was 3 on the trys. :):cool1:
