How do I make sure that I get a "NEW" room?? are all the suites done? or all the tower rooms?

We are staying at the Contemporary July 17 - 23 and really want a renovated room. On the Contemporary thread (one of the last pages) it says that the South Garden Rooms are near completion and there are only a few Tower floors that need to be finished. It doesn't seem like they are renovating the North Garden Wing.

I forgot to add that when we made our reservation we requested a renovated room. We also plan to call the resort 3 days before we arrive just to check on our request. Our travel agent said that if we can get to the Resort early (8:00 am) on the day we are checking in we will increase our chances of getting our request.

You probably can't make sure you get a new room, but if you have it listed as a preference on your reservations they will do their best to accomidate you.

If your going maybe in July, August or September the renovations should be completed in the Tower because they are almost finished floors 6 & 12. I think the North Garden rooms are also almost done from what I have read. As for the suites on the 14th floor I don't think they have started there yet. Lastly if you want to guarantee yourself a renovated room, the best thing to do is to book one on the Atrium Club floor. You will either get a room on the 10th floor, which is where they are temporarily until the 12th floor is renovated. Once it's down they are moving back up there. So if you book the Atrium Club you will be in a renovated room 100%.

There is no way that you can be sure to get a new room, but you can request one and Disney will do their best to get you a new room.
