Can anybody how far the walk is from the Contemporary to MK
Is it fairly easy?

It's not very far, maybe 5 minutes or so. There is a nice path, so you can push a stroller.

The walkway is a major perk for us. It's quick (5-10 minutes), quiet, pretty flowers along the way and the monorail zips above you as you walk to the MK. It's so nice to be able to walk back to the Contemporary after parades and fireworks which allows you to avoid monorail crowds. It's quicker to walk to the MK than taking the monorail because the monorail will stop at the TTC, Polynesian then GF before arriving at MK. Enjoy!

Can you tell me where do you pick up the walkway when exiting the park? I have never seen it. Thank you!

When exiting the MK, you must walk left past the resort bus area. We found it great to walk to the MK in the morning but monorail back in the afternoon as the Cont was the first stop on the way out.

Another perk of the CR (at least when we stayed there in '02) was that the CR was also the first stop the buses picked up for the Studios, AK and the water parks. Those getting on at either the Poly or GF sometimes had to stand but the CR guests had the pick of the seats. We loved the Contemporary!

The walk from the CR is very nice. You get to look at the Disney bricks and enjoy all of the trees. Be careful crossing the street, cars and buses have a hard time using their brakes. The walk will take about 5 minutes.
