Contemporary Resort New Rooms ***WOW***

Wow- the old style never appealed to me- but maybe someday I will give it a try. Do you think the room prices will go up a lot?

I just hope they don't increase the price drastically..CR is still the cheapest of the monorail resorts.

I have never been to WDW. We are going Jan 2006...I wish the rooms were redone before then. I like the look!

In addition to the Contemporary Resort receiving new decor, The Polynesian Resort will also go through a major rehab. Both resorts will take approximately between six months to a year to be completed. The rehab for the Contemp is underway.

When I looked at the pics on Deb't sight I was expecting same ol' same ol', but was I surprised.

These room would make it worthwhile to stay in CR again. They are amazing and very different for wdw. They have that nice flair like the Swan and Dolphin rooms after their rehab.

I think the rooms now fit the definition of contemporary I showed DBF and he was impressed as well. I had wanted to stay at the Contemporary before but was somewhat turned off by the room decor but I'll definitely reconsider (depending on the price). I think the rooms are really gorgeous!

I always said I would NEVER stay at the CR, but after seeing the photos at allears earlier this week, I think I could be swayed to change my mind! The new decor is stunning, and has almost a boutique hotel look. I do like the idea of how roomy the rooms are there too, and the CG is one of my favorite restaurants. I still don't like that this resort looks like a gol darn toaster, but if I am in and looking out I guess it wouldn't matter much.

I love the new rooms! Oh my gosh! Now this brings a new complication to my resort choosing on the monorail line..I really love the new design and this might be a good reason to finally try CR !

I was also impressed with the new rooms. Previously, I had referred to that resort as the "Contemporary circa 1971."

Even I, who probably had the Contemporary as darn near last on the list, would consider staying there after the rehab. I just looks so cool.

Unfortuantely, I wouldn't be surprised to see the price rise... especially if more people are interested in staying there. Supply, demand, yada, yada, yada...

We are staying Cr 14th floor this July . I am wondering if these rooms will be done 1st since they are supposed to be the nicest, does anyone have any idea when they should be done?

Well,I just called CRO and they don't know anything about the Contemporary rehab,she even put me on hold and called somebody in Orlando(where in the world is she?)and that person in customer service didn't know anything about the rehab either,now that is great customer service.I wanted to know what rooms will be rehabbed by December so if anyone not on Disney's payroll has the answer I would greatly appreciate it.
