I agree withe the same thing everyone else is saying.
I as well was never interested in the CR due to the unattractive room decor. I absolutely love the new decor. It looks to me as an asian influence.
I will keep checking to see if anyone knows when the rehab is supposed to be complete.

We're planning on staying at the Contemporary in April 06. Sure hope we can get one of the new rooms!! They look wonderful!

That ugly purple/black yellow scheme just screamed UGLY!

I said never ever ever staying at the purple palace.

We are staying Cr 14th floor this July . I am wondering if these rooms will be done 1st since they are supposed to be the nicest, does anyone have any idea when they should be done?

The rooms in both The Poly and The Contemp should be completed within Six Months to One Year.

Hi Ij ust posted this on another thread...

I received a call this morning from Disney, I had the CR booked from 7/2-7/9/05 (North Garden Wing) and they asked if I would move to the POLY because they are staring the reno on this wing sooner than expected. They have already started or will be soon the South wing and were going to wait for that to be done to start the North wing, however they just made the decision to start the North wing in July and are moving people over to the GF and the Poly.

Hopefully this means some rooms will be done in time for those of you who are going in Decemeber!!!

That is just gorgeous!!!! It looks like a boutique hotel! I just got a quote for CR Tower for October. I would LOVE it if it was done in time--I guess it's possible. I've never been there before, but from the pictures I didn't really have a problem with the old decor.

I know people were wondering when the CR rehab would be completed...I emailed the concierge at CR to see if my room would be redone for my trip this summer, they The 14th floor) are not slated for rehab until 2007...according to the concierge.

I have to admit (may be the only one here) that I really REALLY liked the funky rooms in the Contemporary. I loved how nothing matched and the wild designs and different colors. When we first entered the room all I could do was laugh over how crazy it all was. So I'll miss that.

The new style is just "eh". It's nice but not wild and crazy. Are all the rooms going to be that way? Were all the rooms the same design as in the wings?

I might actually stay there now! I hated CR before, but the rooms look awesome now. For the right rate I would book it (and before I would have chosen a moderate)
