Contemporary Resort - Garden Wing (standard view)

We stayed in Aug of 2015. The room was clean, huge, and I was a big fan of the AC. The toiletries were great and the bathroom setup worked beautifully for us. We really enjoyed the view! We saw the monorail disappear into the main building, and found it pretty relaxing. We did not mind the walk to the main building and we LOVED the walk to the MK.
What bothered us was how claustrophobic the hallways in the Garden Wing seemed. They were ridiculously narrow and low-ceilinged. DP is 6'5 and felt abnormally close to the ceiling in the hallway. When you added housekeeping carts and multiple trays of eaten food on the floor, it got to be like an obstacle course to get to the room.
Overall....it's doable, and you are staying at one of WDW's finest resorts, if it's your way to break in, I say go for it!

Scott M C those corridors do sound grim, what room were you in, your view sounds cool though?

I stayed in this room category in April. We looked on to the parking lot, but could see the top half of the castle to the right and to the left could see the waterway and electrical parade. We could not see the fireworks. We thought the view was fine for the price paid. Walking to MK was AMAZING! If I plan a more MK based trip in the future, I'd book the same hotel and room category in the future. I thought it was a good value for the money. Again, there is nothing like walking to MK, so don't worry about the view and enjoy!

This view sounds cool as well, which room number was this? Wondering whether to request certain rooms or not.
