We REALLY wanted to go back to the CR this trip and the CM yesterday said it was booked except for a club level room! Total for a fam of 5 was over $9000!!! So anyway, I tried to plug it in today and it keeps referring me to another hotel. Surely they aren't completely booked already!! Any ideas?

I booked room only for CR about a month ago for the same time frame (check in Jan 26th) and the cheapest they had at that time was a king bed room with a day bed on the garden wing at $360 a night. I booked it room only to hold my spot. It doesn't seem right to me either that it would be all booked up for the end of January even with the construction. I am hoping that once the dust settles from the release of rates that it will open up more. Otherwise, we may be switching resorts. Please let me know if you find anything out and I will do the same.

Keep in mind that the Contemporary is a convention hotel and room availability may be limited if a convention is going on at that time.

Ok Jen!! Are you doing the ddp? I am going to think about it, maybe do some figuring with menu guides, and then decide. I actually have us booked for the Beach Club as of Friday. I love it there too, but we wanted to go back to CR this time. But, I can't complain with the BC! If it doesn't work out, come over there with us

My guess is there is some kind of convention going in. As for why you could not get a room now for this January, maybe this will make you feel better. This past February my Dad tried to book a room on the Atrium Club for this December and it was 100% sold out for our dates, so we were shocked that it was full that far out.

I personally think the Atrium Club is worth the extra $ per night, however if you don't think so then that is you're choice.

I am have been trying for a garden view room First week of Dec 2008 and nothing is open, even when I change the dates a bit. The web site only offered concierge at the three monorail resorts. I put a request in with Dreams unlimited a week or so ago.....

go look on Expedia. but it doesn't always have the DDP. sometimes it does - but often it doesn't.

lots of time Disney starts with the most expensive then works down. but since Jan is not that far off - I would go look at expedia.

We are going in Oct and staying at POR. Wanted to check on an upgrade and the CM told me that the entire north wing of the CR is closed. They have removed that half of the hotel, said you can't miss it! Anyone know what they are doing?
