Contemporary Atrium Club Level Theme Park View

Thinking about booking a first time four night stay at the Contemporary Resort Atrium Club TPV room with my wife and 7 year old DD (who is obsessed with the MK wishes fireworks). Looking for reviews from those who stayed there. How was the experience? Looking for opinions on the food, service, and the pool area at the resort. Thanks

Staying CL at the CR is wonderful. .there are good food offerings...(on the CR thread there is lots of detailed info right on the first page)...and the lounge there hands down has the bestMK/castle view on property! They pipe in the music for Wishes..and there are balconies that you can view them from as well...I'm sure your DD would love it!

We personally love the Bay Lake view...best of both worlds..IMO... the sunrise over the lake is incredible...and significantly less costly than a MK view...but for some folks..watching the castle change colors while lying in bed makes it worth the cost...YMMV...both great options...

And while the main pool at the CR does not generally get alot of love around here..my kids totally loved it..and would go on the slide over and over...and because the area is not large..we could keep and eye on them with out difficulty. .making for relaxing pool time for my DH and I...and fun for the kids...the center of the pool also has a nice circular water spray around the hot tub...another fun play area ..there is also a splash pad..and another pool..Bay Lake pool (it juts out into Bay Lake..hence the name I guess..lol) which is where the cabanas are located..

The CR is such a nice resort..one of the originals..and icon IMO...and certainly would make a memorable WDW vacation. ..

Our family (including 7 year old DS and 5 year old DD) stayed in that very category of room last September and we loved it. We were there during Night of Joy and MNSSHP and loved seeing the fireworks from our balcony on several nights. It was truly magical. Club level service, particularly with the texting service for making additional FP selections and changing and making ADRs (particularly when we were running late) and a late check out request, was terrific. The Atrium Club food was pretty good in terms of variety and quality. The pool was pretty good. Not as themed as other resorts, including ones that we stayed at before, but my kids loved it and didn't mention or say anything about the theme. The lifeguards were excellent--very vigilant, yet friendly.

It's very nice. I've stayed on 12 and 14. The views are beautiful. You can turn your TV to a specified channel to hear the Wishes soundtrack during Wishes. The pool will be nice for your 7yo. It's very shallow. My older teen and myself have a hard time swimming. It's about 3' all over. The lounge staff are nice and the food pretty good. The main reason to stay her is for the view. I would pay the price for the view alone.

We (my sis and I, two adults) loved our stay at CR Club Level. We had a theme park view as well, and there was nothing more amazing. Tip: Request an "odd numbered room" because in those rooms, with the position of the beds, you can lay in bed and watch the fireworks!! Best. Thing. Ever!
