Contemporary as a DVC

They've said that they'd like to have a monorail DVC resort, but they've never promised that they'd eventually have one.

Good point, bicker.

A CRV would be nice, but it wouldn't be a huge draw for us. We LIKE the Epcot resorts. They're in quick striking distance of 2 parks.

I can see staying at a CRV a few times with grandkids or nieces, but I doubt we'd buy there.

Personally, I'd love to see a 3rd Epcot DVC.

Our guide, in January, had the opinion that it doesn't matter what the rumors are, as Disney is perfectly willing to change their plans at any point. He said this both in response to my asking about a CR DVC and the rumors about Pop Century getting value studios - the value studios that were built could just be tests and certainly don't guarantee that they'll appear at any point.

He specifically mentioned one resort (Boardwalk?) that was completely planned and ready to go, then started over from scratch, not once but twice, with a number of changes each time. So the rumors are just that and you have to wait until official announcements.

That being said, I'd LOVE a CR DVC but I suspect that it would be virtually impossible to book for owners of non-CR DVCs.

We had some friends looking to add on that were staying at the Contemporary and told the guide it was their favorite resort. His response was that Con was going to be remodelling over the next few years and it was EXPECTED that one wing was going to become DVC.

I don't care for the Contemporary, stayed once in a wing room. But I would buy it in a heartbeat. It is DH's favorite. It is the only way he would let me buy more points. Then if they built somewhere cool, like AKL, then DH would have to let me buy because I let him buy at Contemporary. :teeth:
