I am thinking of booking the contemporary for half of our possible spring break trip. I would be betting the garden wing rooms. I have been at that resort before and I don't think it's too far from the action, so that is not a concern. I know they will have a temporary food court still going on, and if there isn't an arcade that isn't a big deal either.
My question is this: is it worth it to get the better view (garden or lake) at this location, over the parking lot view? Is the parking lot screened in any way?
I'm asking because this is such an expensive time, and I'm considering this resort because it's less expensive for a deluxe than some others. I will probably split our stay between POR and something....just trying to figure out the "something".

If you want a more screened view of the parking lot, request a second or third floor room, where the trees help block the view. I've never minded the parking lot view, because I like watching the monorails go by. Since the rooms are the same regardless of the view, I prefer to save some money and watch the monorails. Plus, you are closer to the tower, because you are at the front of the wing.
